Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Should the manga go lighter or remain a bit edgy with the villains from here on out? Moro & Gas were pretty hardcore-evil, even having moments of body horror in their attempts at adjusting their bodies to overwhelming power so should Toyotaro keep up with that intensity? Or should the series ma...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie #2 Thread: "Super Hero"

Saw the movie again. Toriyama was messing with the audience in regards to Gohan. The movie hammered in Gohan's rustiness: get's punched, doesn't recognize Piccolo, complains about weighted clothing, etc. This was bait. Piccolo is representative of the public, who wants Gohan to thrive and sees his l...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Since his forms all seems to be manipulated by himself. I'm going to assume Black Freeza is the same. Freeza is different from everyone since he doesn't have "genetical transformations" like the Saiyans. He just "crafts" a new body to handle the energy output. It's possible he co...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

After watching Super Hero I got hyped and also rewatched Battle of Gods for the first time in almost 10 years. In this rewatch I noticed how legitimate Beerus' line about Base Goku being weaker than Freeza is. He's not baiting Goku into transforming, he's not even interested in SSJ1 at all. It's a ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Box Office Thread

Unless the executives are out-of-touch to a ridiculous degree, their expectations shouldn't be that high. Certainly out of the Broly movie range. - No anime for years to keep the franchise in casual audience consciousness. - CGI animation after praise for the previous movie looks. - Post-pandemic(ar...

Right you are. I had the weekend and week open, must have copied the wrong one.

Here's the numbers for Portugal, the first weekend. Super Hero Gross - 79.424,10 euros Spectators - 13.434 Screenings - 94 for comparison Broly. Broly Gross - 73.270,01 euros Spectators - 16.164 Screenings - 61 More money but less people with a more widespread distribution. However we are in the sum...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

You know, it’s a shame they’ve drawn the line at any new content for the game because the Gammas could have been really fun additions to the roster. You’ve got grapples, team attacks, projectiles and a very obvious choice for a level 3. Now they’ve got the netcode sorted, hopefully they’ll eventual...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 87 - Official Discussion Thread

Arc is over and from me, it's the worst arc in the manga easily. It went nowhere. Shoved in Bardock with no benefit, might have assassinated Freeza's character with him not killing Goku and Vegeta, was for the most part boring and dragging; the new lore appears to be self-contained since the new Dra...

Re: Predictions for FighterZ 2 roster

Goku - A fusion of Base, SSJ and SSB we have in the current game. The tint of color is up in the (h)air. UI Goku - Pretty obvious. One of the above would be beginner friendly while the other more advanced. Vegeta UE Vegeta Same as Goku. Freeza Cell Mr.Boo These three are the classic villains. Don't...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

That would just piss a lot of the playerbase off. Keep in mind, it's still a Dragon Ball game and the fans won't be as forgiving to character cuts. Being a Dragon Ball game doesn't overrule how companies and the industry works. Fans can bring their pitchforks because characters will be cut. The pla...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

The panel of Monaito is almost an exact copy past of Future Trunks getting killed by Cell(difference is the beam direction).

I'm going on a limb and say Toyotarõ is also copying the context. The villain we think is defeat makes a thunderous return, the Gas hasn't dissipated yet.

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

I can see a lot of people complaining when FighterZ 2 starts with 16/20 characters. A sequel won't continue the roster, it will reinvent the game. Even characters bound to return won't be the same since mechanics will be modified, removed or added. The newcomers will probably be something from the ...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

I guess it's official the game is done! I wouldn't believe if you told me that they would actually implement rollback! Theory is that they are working on FighterZ 2 which will have rollback and this is pretty much a beta. Which is why it will only come out in new-gen consoles and PC. ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

I totally get the "Earthlings always managed to match Goku in the following arc(s)" angle, but that usually only applied to training-based improvements. They wouldn't be able to match things like the ridiculous Saiyan-exclusive healing boosts Goku reaped during the Namek arc, and I doubt ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

My logic for this part is: - Humans always kept up with Goku. Did they? Goku was always considerably stronger than them every arc. The closest everyone got was Krilin during the 21st TB and Tenshinhan during the 22nd TB. I meant in the following arc. Humans always caught up to what Goku was before,...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

My logic for this part is: - Humans always kept up with Goku. - Dr.Gero, based on his calculations, thinks Yamcha is Goku. - Dr.Gero values the humans powers to help defeat Piccolo. Fair to say Dr.Gero didn't miscalculate Goku's potential growth by a significant margin. Super Saiyan is the outliner ...

I sign under no guest characters. I bought a Dragon Ball game not Smash.

There's more than enough characters to pull up from: Dabra, Piccolo Daimão, Super Boo, Raditz, #20, #19 this just from the manga and only villains.

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 86 - Official Discussion Thread

I feel like this went nowhere. Besides Vegeta getting UE, nobody really accomplished anything or changed at all. Granolah is the only character that could have caused an impression. Being sidelined removed that. Bardock felt nothing more than fan-service, I do not care about dead characters. The exp...
