Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

Freeza and SS Goku had the same gap and the former kept up until he ran out of stamina. Gaps aren't everything. Those are guides numbers which leave a lot to be desired. For reference here's my analysis on gaps using only the manga , if you want to bother reading it all. Part 1: Goku (8.000) vs Veg...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

This discussion makes me wonder what's the context around Toyotaro. How much pressure does he get from editors, executives and Toriyama? Are his repeated poses from insecurity or from positive reinforcement that they work? Did his workload increase from when he was hired - more than half the pages -...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

I would like to add that Raditz was never said to be equal to the Saibaimen. Only that they rivaled him so 1,500 fits. That's a 20% gap which is huge, I don't see Nappa or Vegeta(can't remember who said the rival line) making such an evaluation, specially since they are so reliant on power levels. ...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

Let's not forget Season 3 started with a huge update. Add to that the 5 DLC characters and it's easily the biggest Season the game has ever seen.

So I don't know where you guys are coming from. This Season has the most dense and influential content of the game's existence.

Bandai Namco have pulled out of EVO Online (along with everyone else), and the tournament has been cancelled on account of the president Joey Cuellar, aka Mr Wizard being an alleged child-grooming scumbag. Are there any news or hints for the next DLC?
Extremely likely there's an announcement at EVO online, which is in 4/5 days I think.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Nobody thinks Vegeta will win do they? Ironic how the most straightforward conclusion is seen as less likely because Dragon Ball drilled plot twists at every turn into us. Merus plot can be carried on into another arc, it doesn't need to be solved now. We still know very little about Angels, he coul...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

To me this is a wait and revisit chapter with, possibly, the exception of Goku. Goku's arc here is to get closer to dominating Ultra Instinct, which he did. This technique(hated how Merus called it a form) shouldn't be achieved easily. So while it might seem Goku didn't progress he did, a lot. This ...

Why are all the Saiyan DLC so much utterly better than everyone and everything?
Gogeta has been placed in the bottom 3 characters consistently across various tiers lists from pros.

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

Your guys are way overthinking it. It's just for the dramatic finish, which purpose is to emulate a moment from the series.

Gohan and Gogeta going SSJ for their dramatic finishes makes no sense for example, unless you disregard the fidelity and embrace the game giving you something cool to see.

Yeah don't play against red bars... That's pure masochism.
I don't know how rage-quitting isn't punished, sometimes I scratch my head at devs/companies decisions.

With Guilty Gear Strive getting rollback there's hope for FighterZ2 if it ever comes about.

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

Blue Vegeta's A-assist has at least as much blockstun. Bardock's assist main weakness is that it doesn't track in the air.

That said Bardock for sure didn't need it.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Toyotaro has mapped Beerus power pretty well: SSJB Vegetto = Beerus (Zamasu Arc) SSJB Vegeta makes Beerus go serious after punching him. (Before the ToP) At this point Beerus should still be decently above, however the moment Goku masters Ultra Instinct Beerus has to act. That's the goal, what Whis ...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

I would love Dr.Gero in this; ideally I would like him paired up with #19 as a stance character, short -rage and long rage. Character would do best as a grappler, whilst having the energy absorbing. Mr.Satan would be awesome if they went all out on the comedy. Pikkon has a bunch of attacks, he's one...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread

Last chapter when Kuririn uses the Kienzan, there's also "inspiration" when he used it against Nappa. Earlier on the manga run I was much more lenient of this homage's, one of them I find excellent: Vegeta using the move he killed Nappa with against Cabba. Now that was an excellent use, it showed th...
