Chibi Mystic Gohan wrote:#1-#7 were failures, though, and Sgt. Metallic wasn't.

WOoooooord up! Thank you Julian.

I'd just REALLY like to know what exactly the difference is between "human base" and "human plus machine."

I mean, I guess it's referring to human Gero's brain plus a machine body. God I just answered my own question. ~_~;

Wow. I totally saw that coming. Hahaha.

Anyway Gohan, you have to admit the Japanese leaves a little bit more open to interpretation...although yeah, technically, "upgrading" himself would allude to becoming a cyborg.

Well WAY TO SCREW IT UP, DEUS!!

They're at least better than my yellowish, blurry digital camera pictures...

One day, when I stop being cheap and buy a scanner AND buy all the Dragonball manga, I will have loads of good images for my site. ;-;

Hmm... well I guess it might have just been enabled. I have no clue myself, since my friend lets me have space on her server. Weird.

Anyway, if the c/p doesn't work, the link to the picture is at the very bottom of this page

It's not? It should. The file is there and the address is correct. Refresh maybe?

Yeah, I mean if Toriyama didn't make it, then it's a mystery who did.

It was in the original manga #32 or #31, and then it was put in Shonen Jump. I'm not sure if it's in the Viz manga.

I haven't seen the first GITS in ages, but I'm positive she's human. Everyone in Section 9 is a cyborg in some way. Togusa is the least augmented, and Kusanagi is the most, with only like...half of her brain left untouched. Her and Batou are diving in that one scene and that's where she's all talkin...

Is this in the comic?? I don't recall anything like that in the movie or Stand Alone Complex... She was just a person who had lost so much of her human body, she wondered what humanity was actually left in her. In Stand Alone Complex or GITS:Innocence Batou or maybe even herself wonder that, even th...

I think #20 is sort of debateable. Well, to me anyway. - He was a human. - Maybe he got too old or just wanted one, but either way he constructed an android body for himself. He probably didn't want to make himself a cyborg cause maybe he was too old already or something. - He built #19 to help turn...

Ooh wow. I can't wrap my mind around the idea of somebody successfully selling fan comics. That is so totally illegal haha. Still, if I had a better understanding of Spanish, I sure wouldn't mind buying them myself. ;-;

Hmm good point. Disney is pretty crazy over that stuff, too. Who knows how Funi feels about it though...

edit: Dragonball-doujinshi is a wonnnnnderful place. All you need to do to be a member is submit fanart or your own doujinshi scans. I'm sure we've all drawn something here or there.

Yeah...Marron having some weird new developments at puberty or some weird trigger that makes all the dormant nanos in her blood jump to life and start turning HER into a cyborg. It's a neat idea, but I never really cared about Marron, to be honest. And it always pissed me off that 18 threw the fight...

Wow, I would loooove to see these translated. Freaking hilarious! I love the name puns and the art style. These were released as graphic novels?? Or just doujinshi?

I've always wondered why Americans don't really bother making fan comics. We're all too lazy and just do it online, I suppose. ;-;

Sorry I'm necroposting, but I just wanted to add that 17 and 18 don't necessarily have JUST mechanical parts inside of them. There's a panel in the manga where Bulma is looking over blueprints and notes that there are actually very few cybernetic parts in them: http://www.lovelycyborg.com/shrine/tru...

I would love to have those pages scanned for me, if you wouldn't mind me throwing them up on my site (with credit, of course). ^_^;;

Concerning #8, it's kinda weird. Personally, I have the idea that he is probably a strange sort of cyborg, made from human parts, though the parts might have been dead and then ressurrected. Whether that makes him an android or cyborg is really sort of unclear, but I think it would be possible to re...

Yeah I figured only two or three of the short posts must be about my site. That's so funny, though. Both translation sites kept giving me back "Ero" (babel gave me katakana in the middle of all the words), and I had no clue what it might mean. It was like "ero it is negligant" an...
