My unpopular opinion is that the God's didn't add something better to Dragon Ball, they actually ruined it. I think the same way you do. I couldn't think of a more fitting person to voice Genkai, they really got the cast spot on for Yu Yu Hakusho.

However, I still fail to see how them looking younger is necessarily a bad thing.

For me personally it is. I like character/story/arc progression. I want to see characters age rather than making them look younger just for the sake of being able to continue with countless series/movies/spinoffs ...

I liked the idea of it, but i really wish they could erase it and start from scratch. It could and should have been so much better than it turned out to be.

I don't like it. We have seen enough bad guys turning good in Dragon Ball. Instead of being good, i would like Frieza to go off and do his own thing. Conquering the universe is not a realistic goal for him anymore, but suddenly becoming this good person just isn't something i think i could buy into ...

Couldn't agree more. I have mostly tuned out of anything Dragon Ball related over the last year, seeing this trailer bought life back to the franchise for me.

This movie is already looking far better than the entire Dragon Ball Super series, imo.

Just the way Goku looks in the short teaser makes me super excited for these character designs. It just looks so incredibly Dragon Ball, more so than anything we've had in years. I wish that's how Super had ...

I was fine with it. The original point of Namek was to bring their friends back to life after being killed by Nappa (and a Saibaman), seeing them achieve their goal at the end of all of that trouble on Namek was a satisfying ending to that arc.
