Re: The strongest Goku that Hercule can defeat.

Maybe I'm just ignorant to some guidebook out there somewhere, but has Mr. Satan's actual abilities every been actually quantified? The dude won the Tenkaichi Budokai and while I understand he can't use Ki, it seems ridiculous that he's not even on the level of say, Nam. This is what we have so far...

Re: Hit vs Dyspo was the most strategic fight in the series?

I'd say so although wonder why Dyspo didn't use his SLSM to try and counter  Most of the fighters in the ToP seemed to be saving their ultimate techniques for the very end, and only using them if they were absolutely necessary. Which does make sense, as you don't want to reveal your trump ca...

Re: The strongest Goku that Hercule can defeat.

You guys are looking at this all wrong. Goku would never beat him, because they would never actually fight. Mr. Satan would point out that Pan was in the audience, then ask Goku if she would want to see her two grandpas hitting each other, and they would call off the fight. Or something similar woul...

Re: Editing of painfully-outdated LGBT+ content in future DB(Z) releases?

Fair enough. Has anyone here argued that old DB material should be edited? And I don't just mean this thread. Has anyone seen anyone on this forum argue that the anime and manga should edit out "outdated LGBT+" content? I wouldn't be opposed to making a reboot/remake version that tones down the ste...

Re: You watched DBZ before DB and certain characters didn't make sense

I always figured there was a backstory behind them that we just didn't see. When Toonami started showing Dragonball, that suspicion was confirmed. One thing about the world that did confuse me a lot in the early days was that I wasn't sure if it was supposed to take place in the past (because there ...

Re: The strongest Goku that Hercule can defeat.

Just about any Goku because he would just bribe him, or some funny event would occur where Goku would throw the fight, or the fight wouldn't even happen.

Re: Could The Entire Z-Senshi(Freeza & Broly too) Take On An Angel?

We have never seen a serious Whis so that makes this hard to gauge. Though we're talking like millions or billions of people across this universe against one person? Like if they team up and concoct some plan involving magic or something they could very well. Like if Buu hits him with candy beam th...

Re: Vic Mignogna

If you'll dig back in your pop cultural memory banks a little bit, you might recall there was a time maybe around ten+ years ago or so (mid through late 2000s), pre-GamerGate, pre-SJW and anti-SJW conflicts, pre-Redpills and MRAs, etc, where it was just INCREDIBLY fashionable amongst more generaliz...

Re: Petition to use SS, not SSJ, as an abbreviation for Super Saiyan

i know this is the logic for a lot of people who prefer funimation's name's, but SSJ really does look better. maybe it's just because i'm so used too it but i think it's partially because SS gets used in different contexts, where SSJ doesn't, at least as far as i know. Well there is one other conte...

For what it's worth, there are many Christians that embrace evolution as well. Myself included :P .
Hence my use of 'creationist' specifically. Also there are non-Christian creationists.

Re: Vic Mignogna

I think that I've figured out the reasoning behind the jellybean argument. It's a hybrid logical fallacy I'll dub the 'Reducto Ad Strawman'. How it works is, when you are presented with a strong argument backed by large amount of evidence, you latch onto the weakest piece of evidence you can find th...

Re: Editing of painfully-outdated LGBT+ content in future DB(Z) releases?

I never said that his design wasn't racially insensitive, just that Japan doesn't have the same history of race relations that they do in America, so they have less of a context for understanding how offensive it can be. I remember hearing that in many old Japanese movies, they used offensive racial...

Re: Vic Mignogna

That anime protagonist example is really, REALLY disturbing... I know... I mean, have they SEEN the Broly movies?! How do they not know that he was the bad guy?! That he was defeated at the end of every movie he's ever been in? I mean, I know Dragon Ball is like 30 Billion years old now, but c,mon ...

Maybe change Popo in future editions to be a realistic black man without the caricature elements? That'd be a nice change of pace.
He's not a human though. Or even meant to be a being that looks basically identical to a human, like a Saiyan.

Re: So how does one *correctly* hug their fans?

A clear example of something that happened in my city in a Tram, I've been cheeling on my chair browsing my phone when a guy asked a girl for just his direction, he wanted to know where to drop at the right station, the girl asked, tell him rudely to get lost and that she don't speak to ugly people...

You know what's funny? I recall an old ED article once calling him 'Vic Mangina' and mocking him a lot, but now the whole 4chan/ED crowd is behind him.
