Sorry, I forgot to post the link to Planeta's site regarding the announcement: http://www.planetadeagostinicomics.com/buscar.asp?p=1&buscar=dragon+ball Here's a translation of the text: "It was tough, but finally we can announce that the "Perfect Edition", or the definite version,...

I don't know if anyone has doubts from seeing the picture posted earlier, but these are simply TV series versions of the movies' old anime comics; screencaps reorganized into manga format with word ballons and onomatopeia, just like the manga. Traditionally, the plus these releases have is a double ...

You're right, I've scanned the page in question. The Ki Kanji is highlighted with an edge effect:

That's a good analysis on the nature of the Genki Dama. Never seen it that way, but it's interesting. The Genki-Dama was small and made from the trees, oceans etc. (a nature one basically). Plus, to me, Saiyans aren't entirely evil, and simply fight for their causes, even if sadistaclly. About this ...

Well, the Japanese onomatopeia reads "BACHI" if I read correctly, or possibly "BATSU". I think it was an attempt to simply translate the onomatopeia literally.

Heh, no, the red circles were added by me after I scanned the page. The french version doesn't mention the word "chi" or "ki". It mentions "energy" or "power". It would be interesting though to check if the Japanese version uses the term "chi" as wel...

Heh, thanks. Anyway, as a curiosity, here's the French page (this is from the current re-translation, it's a bit more wordy and it keeps the onomatopeia, with only a small translation beside it. Also, this version doesn't mention the term "chi"): http://home.ripway.com/2003-11/39890/GohanG...

If any of would like to know more about DB, I recommend this site: http://www.daizex.com/ It's very well done and it is built with a mature attitude, similarly to J's own Ringworld, unlike the millions of Geocities/ Angelfire/ AOL websites made by little boys... This is part of my first post there ...

My point is that, it may have turned out to be a misunderstanding on your part, but now the damage has been done as you've given OldBoy more ammo to continue on with more false claims.
I've said to Campbell I'd do my best to cover the damage done, so that's all I can do now.

Yes, I actually believed Oldboy's claims at that time. I said that I trust him, so he must have his resons for speaking. And I still trust him to this day. Sorry about it, but this is how it is.

Maybe he was one former member, but that much I don't know, honestly.

Just to let you know that me and Campbell have our differences settled via PM. Right, Campbell? There was only a bit of misunderstanding... There was never any intent to hurt the community as a whole from myself. I've reffered to Campbell's reply only, and I've also reffered the fact that discrimina...

Kitano - It's not really fair using what one person said as ammunition against an entire group. Of course not. But my opinion is part desireCampbell's response and Oldboy's take. I mean, Oldboy must have his reasons. Why gratuitously attack the community? I remind you that I've linked to the DaizEx...

Hey, hey. Kitano is me, as you have probably figured out. What happened, if you read the thread, is that I've suggested DaizEX to anyone interested in Dragonball, since my opinion is still that the webpage itself is very good. Then, Oldboy said what he said about this forum. It's his opinion, and I ...

Sweet. I don't mean to sound like a hardass, but DaizEX isn't a place where we can just 'say' things without backing them up. And if there's a reference, it has to be accounted for. Okay, volume 20 of the manga. Accounted for. I thought I was mentioning something anyone could easily check for thems...

My favourites are the Bardack TV special, The first Cooler one, Janenba's (12) and Hirudegan's (13).

One interesting note about movie 12, in France, all the bits with Hitler were cut.

Well, that kind of rambled... to summarize: does anyone know of anything said about the Spirit Bomb and it's relation to 'goodness' or 'evil'? I'll be telling that for sure in a day or two, but as far as I remember, the Genki Dama was deflected by Gohan during the battle with Vegeta. Yajirobe accid...

Exactly. Buu could regenerate as long as some remnant of his body remained existent. But the Genki Dama pretty much reduced him to pieces that couldn't really be considered Buu anymore. Yeah, only that Buu himself was once vapourised and regenerated from the vapour. At any rate, both the exceptiona...
