In an old Jakks Pacific commercial for their Dragon Ball toys (apparently from 2004), the term "Tenkaichi Budokai stadium" is used. With the exception of subtitles, has this ever been used by other official English sources?

Re: Orange Bricks vs Blu-rays (2014) - Definitive Discussion
So I checked the orange bricks and there is little to no image stabilization so you don't get that weird wably underwater effect that effected the later releases (hey a positive! lol) I don't think it's that distracting tho I understand why they'd wanna try and stabilize the footage https://im7.ezg...

Re: What version/release of DB/Z have the most accurate colors?
The dragon boxes have tint to them, as do the selectavision from what I've been able to see so those are out. Funi's [color] dbz bricks all have that washed out/bleached look. their blue DB bricks have other weird color issues too. The level sets crush blacks. The madman/funi single vhs/dvds(and UU...

Top Three Favorite Fights
While Dragon Ball is about more than just fighting, it's those fights which tend to stick with people the most. If you had to pick just three fights from the Dragon Ball franchise, which would be your favorites and why? For me, it's these three: 1. Gokou and Piccolo vs Raditz This is a fight which i...

Re: How did Toei Animation handle 4: 3 frames in Dragon Ball Kai Buu Saga?
There some cutting out details of frames and splicing them back in for the Buu arc, like this shot: https://i.imgur.com/qWwurNy.png This shot is also very terribly done. They didn't put any care into how they cut him out, so the outlines are just mostly missing, and it looks terrible as a result. I...

Re: Z or Original Dragon Ball? Which do you prefer and why?
Dragon Ball for its narrative and use of characters, but I still have nostalgia-based reasons for watching Dragon Ball Z more frequently.

Re: Orange Bricks vs Blu-rays (2014) - Definitive Discussion
Really, if one's resorting to piracy over FUNimation's releases, it's better to download something than giving money to the bootleggers. That aside, that bootleg's encoding makes the single DVDs amazing, and the subtitles are terrible. The bricks and BDs probably win by having Simmon's subs alone. ...

Saddest part is, bootleg releases look much better than OB, how incompetent you have to be? https://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=22256&p=607557&hilit=bootleg#p607557 No offense, but where those image links go to looks a little sketchy. Re: Orange Bricks vs Blu-rays (2014) - Definitive Discussion
Both are crap, neither is particularly better than the other, it's a choice between two unbelievably shit, not-worth-your-money sets, which you really shouldn't buy. But if you absolutely must pick which one, just pick whichever is cheaper, and buy it second-hand. Then with the vague moral covering...

MistareFusion is the only YouTube channel centered around Dragon Ball that I can honestly recommend to anyone. He takes his time with videos to provide a consistent level of quality, and that isn't something you get with most (successful) Dragon Ball channels. You'll never see him overanalyze chara...

Re: Editing of painfully-outdated LGBT+ content in future DB(Z) releases?
Should every piece of entertainment that's ever existed/will exist be altered to reflect changes to the views of a society? Should they be altered every single time things change? No, because that's silly (at best) and a threat to preservation of entertainment (at worst). Dragon Ball was created in ...

There's things I've looked into partially or not at all, but I'll probably check out all of these things (and finish the others) in time. For the purposes of this list, I'll only leave things I've either never touched or have little memory of. . Dragon Ball (anime, show) - I've read the manga at lea...

Re: Do you actually believe that we are currently in some second Dragon Ball golden age?
I live in Canada, and I can just walk into a Walmart and buy Dragon Ball merchandise as easily as something like Paw Patrol . Maybe other provinces are different than my own, but I haven't been able to say that since around 2009. I'd say the demand is bigger than it's been in a long time. Hell, I ha...

Re: Personal Thoughts on the Ocean Dub
I'm slightly biased as a Canadian due to the actors being from here (and me having grown up with those actors) as well as having been acknowledged by Brian Drummond a couple of times, but I honestly think that the work they did (in regards to the quality of the acting and some of the voices themselv...

Re: Orange Bricks vs Blu-rays (2014) - Definitive Discussion
With Dragon Ball Kai , only the DVD's are cropped to 16:9. That's only for the Japanese release. The French and German releases are 16:9 and available on Blu-ray as well as DVD. And of course, this all only applies to ep 1-98, as The Final Chapters was only done in 16:9 to begin with. Oh? That's in...
