Re: So are the 2 latest movies

I really don't see how Goku's fight against Uub contradicts anything. Goku is in his base form and not fighting all out. For the same reason nobody doubts SSJ transformations, we shouldn't be casting SSJ God transformations into doubt. He's using neither when he fought Uub, so who cares how much str...

Re: Who's stronger? Cyborg Tao or Chi-Chi (23rd Budokai)?

Cyborg Tao Pai Pai is stronger. Cyborg is stronger than non-cyborg version, while both are stronger than Kamesennin. There's a Weekly Shonen Jump article/cover at one point that listed Chichi as being weaker than Kamesennin (BP of 130 to his 139).

Re: Accurate description of Dragon Ball Z timeline ?

Regarding Garlic Jr and movies 1-5: Movie 1 would be the catalyst that allows for Goku to arrive on time to fight the Saiyans. It would result in him being a bit stronger when Raditz kills him, which means he'd reach and return from Kaio's a bit ahead of the manga's timeline. To make it in time for ...

They didn't die, they were drifting in space at most up until the Piccolo Daimao arc, according to the Dragon Ball: Adventure Special guidebook.
Good lord, that's even worse. :o

Toriyama plays fast and loose with space asphyxiation. Goku went to the moon, if you recall.

Re: What would happen if Ginyu steals the body of a fused be

Fusion creates a whole new being, so I say he could switch with one. Defusing is where it gets interesting. He would essentially become like Kami and Piccolo, only instead of identical bodies, have one in Goten and one in Trunks. But what happens to the kids? Do they remain as Gotenks in Ginyu's bod...

Re: Was manga Man-Wolf superhuman?

(note: a person wouldn't really be 7-Dan in US Kempo and a 3-Dan in Japanese, because the variations wouldn't be THAT different) What did you mean by this? So a guy with both a US 7 Dan and a Japanese 3 Dan would be a 10 Dan? Yes, but it's more likely that if he was doing both, he'd probably be a 7...

Re: Cell Games: Did the humans surpass Ginyu's power level?

Yamcha was initially mistaken for Goku by Dr. Gero just going by his power level, and was considered a good source of energy to drain even after Gero realized that he'd initially mis-identified him. There's no way #19 and #20 are so weak that a power level in the 10,000s or even 100,000s range woul...

Re: Was manga Man-Wolf superhuman?

For the record, it's technically possible to surpass 10 Dan by learning multiple martial arts variations. For example, Kempo has two big ones (US and Japanese styles) and it's not uncommon for practitioners to master both at the same time. So if someone was 5 Dan in Japanese Kempo and 5 Dan in Ameri...

Re: How strong is Jaco?

What I have trouble believing is the whole Piccolo thing. About Shisami? Freeza was surprised that a Super Saiyan could defeat him, implying that Shisami is stronger than Mecha Freeza was. And since he was stated to be on Zarbon's & Dodoria's level when Freeza was revived, it means that Shisami als...

Re: Would a powerlifter or an MMA expert have a higher PL in

I feel people attribute too much to Goku's starting BP of 10. Yes, he can withstand bullets, but that's still part of the pure gag-manga era of the series. By this I mean I can see regular people surviving certain gunshots in the DB World. In regards to pure physical strength, real-life powerlifter...

Re: Who was the more powerful sibling? Tao or Crane Hermit?

Tenshinhan did state that Chun surpassed the Crane Hermit but only noting so after Chun got more serious. That gives you the answer, then. Tao Pai Pai was stronger than Goku at a time when Goku was equal to or stronger than Kamesennin. If Kamesennin is stronger than Tsurusennin, then Tao Pai Pai is...

Re: Can Gogeta and Vegito be considered as brothers?

From a biological standpoint, they would be. They're made up of the DNA of Goku and Vegeta. They may have different combinations of those DNA sources, but essentially, Vegeta and Goku are the "parents" of both. That would make them genetic siblings.

Re: Where did Future Trunks get his sword from?

Refining a blade in Dragon Ball could be as simple as Bluma using super Capsule Corp lasers to sharpen the edges to a ridiculous level. The shape doesn't have to change. No way. You wouldn't specify blade refining to give the impression that you mean "maybe something other than blade refining" to t...

Re: Are Piccolo and AH 19 and 20 stronger than Freeza?

Based on Nail saying Piccolo had acquired an "unbelievable amount of power", I'm fine with Piccolo being stronger than him. I always had him around 60,000 after leaving Kaio's planet. He has to be stronger than Gohan and Krillin since he was going to go and save them. That puts him at least > 200,0...

Refining a blade means you've changed its shape. If the finished product looks similar to Tapion's sword, then it's not Tapion's sword.

Re: How strong is Jaco?

We know that Roshi's weakest state is 139 and that his beefed up state is much, much greater. We've also seen focusing Goku's ki into a Kamehameha during the Raditz battle took him from 416 to over 924 (so a boost of more than 508). I'd believe any Battle Power that pegs Roshi between 500-700 as his...

This makes it so that Trunks and Goten don't learn fusion, though, but the film features Gotenks.
