Re: Dragonball DragonBox?
Very true you could even learn japanese and get a JP DB Dragon Box.. ... ...uh... I'd question anyone's sanity if they wanted to learn a foreign language just to watch one show with better picture quality... I don't see why one couldn't just try to time FUNimation's subs to the Japanese footage. Th...

Re: Dragonball DragonBox?
Very Hello! I have been thinking about buying those blue brick season sets of Dragonball. Do you guy's think i should wait and see if the Dragonball Dragon Box comes out? What are the chances that it will come out? Maybe next year, maybe in a few years. Or maybe never. There's no word on anything. I...

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
FWIW: I will note, though, that 100% of what Funimation does has to be approved by Japan. Someone over there has looked at what they made and said yes this is okay for probably 99% if not 100% of their releases. Yes, even the Orange Bricks. How do you know that for certain? Actually I not sure that...

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
What more do you want? The worst thing about the orange bricks is the video quality. With these blu-ray releases, not only is that issue being dealt with, but it's being dealt with in a proper way. The video quality for these may even be better than Dragon Box footage. I never asked what more I wan...

Re: Original DB on Blu-Ray
I personally think it more likely see a DB Dragon Box. Because if I remember from previous knowledge funi have tapes for DB. I believe for GT they have a DIGI Transfer as well. So I doubt they have good enough film to put on to blu-ray for DB. I also doubt doubt they could do it with GT.

Re: Dragon Box 2- Why so expensive?
Not really that limited I own a book which there is only three others like it in the world [Hand Illustrated and Signed by Author and Illustrator] Even without those it was only part of a series where 52 were produced. Compared to that these arn't really that limited.

Yeah I thought they were given tapes for DB. I think for GT it was Digital Copies.bkev wrote:Do we even know if they have film masters of Dragon Ball TO remaster? That's a bigger question that needs to be answered first... I always thought they were given tapes, like originally with Z (and GT.)

Re: Dragon Ball Blu-Ray
I haven't heard anything yet, I'm still waiting for Dragonball the Dragonbox hopefully Funimation will Release that. But In my opinion. I would almost be willing to bet money on, That Funimation will release Dragonball on bluray. I think they will only do a remaster of Dragon Ball in Blu-Ray if DBZ...

Re: Is getting the rest of the dragonbox's worth it?
At this point, the Dragon Box sets is the best-looking Dragon Ball Z release. And yes, there are scenes cut out from the old DVDs. I'm guessing the "Old DVDs" you have are the Pioneer ones? Then yeah, they have much more scenes. About 15 episodes were cut out from those releases. No, he s...

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Average Joe buying this BluRay will probably not care if it's grainy or dvnr'd to hell. They just care that it's Dragon Ball. Honestly speaking, if you would have put the Dragon Box disks inside of the Orange Brick box, a random passerby who bought DBZ at Wal Mart would have still bought it anyway ...

Re: FUNimation to put DBZ on Blu-Ray
Given how difficult and time-consuming these blu-rays have been said to make, and how many sets there are going to be, I'd say cancellation is actually a possibility. Not expecting it, but this isn't running the masters through a machine, this is probably comparable to what Pony Canyon did. Either ...
