Sad thing about fanboys is that they're 20, 30 and even 40 years old. :| YouTube's filled with videos of grown men defending their favourite plastic console as if their life depends on it.

Re: The International Version of the Buu-Kai Arc

If they can tweak the green tint good if not, no biggie.

I don't really have any hopes for Kai 2.0 from FUNimation to be different than from anywhere else so whatever it is fine by me, although I wish they'd do something about the music. :|

Re: Do you think Freeza or Cold will ever acknowledge Cooler

Super Saiyan 4 wouldn't have been acknowledged in Battle of Gods even if it did share continuity with GT. The form was isn't achieved for almost another 12 years on the AGE timeline. Well, for one I never really cared about the ages, power levels or if it is canon or not just as long as it's fun &a...

Just like Super Saiyan 4 Goku wasn't acknowledged in Battle of Gods they'll ignore Coola as it's not part of the manga/canon but anime-only. I know, it's a shame. :(

Re: Worth Double Dipping for the Kai Blu-Rays?

The picture quality during the Freeza arc looks magnificent and on top of that with the Yamamoto score it's quite an awesome experience to see Kai in action like it was meant to be, the rest still looks very good though keep in mind Parts 5-8 have the replacement score sadly (sold these as I didn't ...

Re: MangaUK Dragon Ball Z Dragon Boxes?

Well I already own half of the seasons on DVD and I'm not very bothered about Blu-rays. I might buy BoG on Blu-ray but not sure :/ Hope you enjoy your BoG Blu-ray btw! :D Already seen it a couple of times but didn't own an English subtitled release of it, but yeah, thanks. Well, considering most of...

Re: MangaUK Dragon Ball Z Dragon Boxes?

From what I recall, I read it somewhere in this forum and it was supposed to be released during Christmas of 2013 but it never happened and I just kept waiting until I gave up. P.S.: Do you have a region free Blu-ray Player or a PC/Laptop with Blu-ray? Then get the FUNimation Blu-ray instead! Japane...

Re: Where to buy a working Budokai 3 greatest hits re-releas

An easy way to hack a PS2 is through McBoot which requires a memory card as well as some other tools: http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/noobie.php If you're in need of more assistance then you have links at the bottom. By the way, as far as I can remember the CE doesn't have anything exclusi...

Re: MangaUK Dragon Ball Z Dragon Boxes?

Manga UK was supposedly going to release a special edition boxset of the Orange Bricks but that never happened and instead they announced the GT bricks, which was kind of disappointing as I'd like to see an all-in-one Dragon Ball Z set. More disappointingly the Collector's Edition of Battle of Gods ...

I believe Dragon Ball premiered in 1995 on SIC.
Really? Thought it was around 1992-93.

Re: Where to buy a working Budokai 3 greatest hits re-releas

Is your PS2 region free by any chance? Hacking a PS2 is very easy nowadays. If so then you could import from Europe Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 - Collector's Edt. or Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 - Platinum Edt. as both of these feature the Japanese audio track and FUNimation English dub, as well as subtitl...

Re: Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butouden (3DS)

Bandai Namco Entertainment seems to have more favouritism towards Europe than US but the truth is that 3DS has never had a Dragon Ball in the west and while Nintendo released the New 3DS somewhat recently that's just like the DSi to DS. If Bandai Namco Entertainment doesn't release it in Europe (I'd...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '

So I take it it's not wrong to assume when FUNimation releases this on Blu-ray/DVD that on the cover it'll be called "Resurrection of Frieza" rather than "Resurrection of Freeza". :-/ Presume FUNi'll release by 2016 as BoG was in 2014 (Toei was in 2013) when FUNimation published ...

Re: Dragon Ball Kai Green Tint

Thanks for those screenies, Jay. I'll have to admit that the redness of the Dragon Box Z never bothered me in the slightest but it felt like its natural colour as to the human skin, although it is a little exaggerated.
Shame we'll never see the 4x3 AR of Kai 2.0. :(

Re: The History of Dragon Ball in Every Country

Portugal The first episode of Dragon Ball anime was broadcast in 1996 on SIC. It was followed by Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT in succession until 1999. The shows were then rebroadcast on SIC Gold on June 29, 2000, a cable channel. This channel evolved into SIC Sempre Gold (SIC Always Gold), whi...

You don't seem to know that Manga UK isn't the type to release high quality / Limited Edition releases, well there's that they did produce the Blu-ray Steelbooks of Akira , Ghost in the Shell , Bayonetta , Ninja Scroll and Street Fighter but other than that it's mostly just normal releases in plasti...

Re: Orange Bricks vs Blu-Ray Season Sets

I'd vouch for the Season DVD sets over the Blu-ray Season sets. 1) The picture quality isn't necessarily a whole lot. 2) If you're lucky you get the booklets which are sorta cool to have as collectibles (managed to collect Z 1-9 + GT 1-2 but never got DB 1-5). 3) Features Japanese title episodes. 4)...
