That's a good question. I mean other Shounen protags around the time like Yusuke and company were a bit different in regards to their attitude.

I tried going to the theaters to watch it yesterday, but I, and several others, couldn't watch it because it was sold out.

I'm not sure. I really hope so. The ending was rushed, and I"m pretty sure most fans didn't like it that much. Not to mention, we all like seeing Post-Buu content, so having the Goku leaves with Uub story closes everything off.

The ratings are probably low this week because of Pilaf, and because they're adapting the movies that everybody saw already, except with a slower pace (which is why the Pilaf stuff was boring to some).

Episode 5 should have an increase.

Goku's development ends right after he achieves the Super Saiyan transformation and "kills" Freeza. After that, some kind of character flaw is forced into him only for him to overcome it so that the status quo can be retained or some kind of flaw is forced into him and he doesn't overcome...

It will make the internet explode for sure. But I feel as if Toei could have done a way better job of hyping this thing up. If it's just three characters, then the series would be just samey. Watching the show the After the Freeza saga started to get underwhelming at times since it was just the Saiyan show.

Do you guys think Funimation will call it "Dragon Ball S" for continuity's sake to make it like Dragon Ball Z?

Calling it Dragon Ball Super might be weird since we usually put adjectives before the nouns.

I wouldn't mind passing the torch be hinted at, but I still want Goku and Vegeta kicking ass.

2010-2012 was kind of mediocre (Kai was about to be cancelled, most people felt it was a waste of time, the games like BoZ and Ultimate Tenkaichi were bad, )


But the last 2-3 years have been good (2 movies, Toriyama is involved again, first great DBZ game in a while, ratings are pretty solid on CN)
