Re: So what exactly is this SSGSS?
It may be odd but it fits pretty well for the context of the form is. The new form is effectively Super Saiyan God infused with Super Saiyan. I mean, what would you call it? Kei17 said it was "SSJ infused with godly power." Rather than "SSJ infused with SSJGod." What Kei17 said ...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
You need to think about how you're presenting this "overexertion" thing then. I can overexert myself while lifting a couch. I wouldn't have to be anywhere near exhaustion to overexert myself. Saying Goku dropped the form through being overexerted is different from dropping the form throug...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
The only times a Saiyan have ever lost a SSJ transformation is either because they were exhausted or they were knocked out. Never overexertion. As I already said before there is something to suggest Goku lost power during that scene. The classic "one eye half open" thing that Goku does se...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
At this point, I have to wonder if there are/will be more extensive interviews with Toriyama regarding the film. I'm interested in hearing about his thought process for the plot and character designs, and maybe he can clear a few things up that have been confusing fans as well.

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
Now that I have the movie fresh in my mind, I guess I can continue with this. I can never get tired of BoG, by the way. Excellent film. Saying he couldn't do it while he is at full power is speculation. Because he had been fighting Beerus all this time. There is nothing to suggest that he didn't los...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
He was previously unaware before Beerus told him, not constantly unaware. It does not logically follow that he transformed into SS without being aware of it. I have no idea what you're trying to say - losing and absorbing something isn't even remotely comparable to transfoming into something else. ...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
If Goku is unaware he lost the SSJGod form. Why would he be aware that he is in SSJ? That makes no sense. It isn't speculation. It is logic. If I know I'm a SSJ then I can't be a SSJGod. Now can I? You can't be aware of one without the other. He was previously unaware before Beerus told him, not co...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
Once again, the only thing that was ever specified is that Goku didn't notice his absorption of SSG. It was never once stated or even implied that Goku didn't notice going back into Super Saiyan. That makes no sense. He's so familiar with that form that he's always aware of tapping into it. You're ...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
But he didn't rely on these transformations, he transform instinctively by accident. Goku reverted from God to base, didn't notice it, and he could still fight with Beerus like he did before. According to Beerus, his power didn't decrease significantly. Which means that Saiyan beyond God Goku is sl...

Re: Thoughts on Movie 12
Care to elaborate why? I'm curious! It just didn't have a very captivating story for me. The villains seemed pointless - especially considering that most of the film focused on the tournament gimmick instead of this "threat" they posed - and none of them particularly had any real motives ...

Re: So what exactly is this SSGSS?
The name implies that the original form still has bearing on what Goku is doing. Which isn't the case. Goku has already absorbed the Godly Ki into his base form so SSJGod was nothing more than a power-up. So seeing as the upgrade for SSJ amplifies his Godly Ki naturally it would make sense to say s...

Re: Official DBZ 2015 Movie Power Discussion: "Resurrection
Judging from the summary, he seems to be portrayed on a similar level as Super Saiyan God at the very least. Whether he's noticeably stronger than that though, even at full power, is less certain.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
You're not supposed to stop this scene and look for animation flaws...of course will have some derp faces. Honestly, I don't even think his face looks that derpy. The image just doesn't appear to be as detailed as a still shot, but that should be perfectly fine considering the supposed fluidity of ...

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
But Goku didn't rely on these forms, he transformed by accident, and without even realizing it. The fact that he didn't notice that he went from God to base to SS and eventually back to God means that all these forms are around the same level. Plus, Beerus comments on Goku's strength in general whe...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
Not necessarily. Goku only managed to get Beerus to fight at 70% of his power. In a rage that blast Beerus launched could easily be a Ki blast with his maximum Ki output. I find that doubtful. This is the same Beerus that destroyed an entire planet with a mere sneeze in the film, much to Goku's per...

Re: How strong is the "Saiyan Beyond God" Base Form?
Plus, the FnF manga confirms that base Goku is about as strong as in Super Saiyan God. It confirmed that Goku was using God ki for that one punch he tried to land on Whis, followed very shortly by a half-asleep Beerus nearly killing him with a casual ki blast. If anything, the RoF manga suggests th...

Re: How does Golden Freeza fare off against fighters in GT
Same here. XenoVerse includes DBZ, BoG, TV Special 1, Movies 8 & 10, and GT to the main timeline. I just played it again yesterday, and besides the Time Vault description mentioned above, Trunks specifically uses phrases like "this other, additional timeline" when referring to the who...

Re: BoG/Rof & GT are not in the same universe.
Give it up, you're battling against official statements from the heads of the series themselves. You can hate on GT all you want, it's your opinion, and you totally have a right to make a case as to why GT shouldn't be canon/a continuation of the Z manga (and I'd be inclined to even agree!), but yo...

Re: How does Golden Freeza fare off against fighters in GT
that "alternate timeline" is the main timeline. trunks created a different timeline by going back to the past. the main timeline followed in dbz is not the original timeline. I'll have to play it again, but I'm fairly positive that Future Trunks specifically makes it clear that the events...
