Re: Does Babidi's magic work based off personality or power?
Vegeta's personality was definitely what allowed him to resist the Majin charm as he says so himself. None of Babidi's henchmen appeared to be that prideful. Spopovich for example was probably consumed by desire for revenge against Mr. Satan and didn't put up much of a resistance.

Re: Goku's attitude regarding Piccolo Jr.
To be fair, he was a newborn. In filler, he was jealous of a family and broke into their house showing he's really just a lost child.

Piccolo also never killed anyone during the 3 year timeskip. In filler, he even saved a woman and her child.
His talk of taking over the world was all bark no bite.

Re: Are these four main women in Dragon Ball really "just house wives"?
It's also from a different time when the female audience was a lot smaller The truth is the exact opposite of this, so glaringly that I'm not sure how you can even possibly say something like that: Dragon Ball 's era, boosted by things like Saint Seiya and City Hunter and Bastard , was a gigantic b...

Re: Are these four main women in Dragon Ball really "just house wives"?
Gender matters in a lot of ways. None are inherently better than the other. They both have their strengths and weaknesses. The lack of predominant female characters in Dragon Ball isn't and shouldn't be that problematic. It's a fighting manga/anime after all and fighting is more of a male territory...

Re: Dragon Ball GT: Who should have launched off in search of the black star dragon balls.
Like I said, Pan should come along just don't write her the way she was in GT. That shit was awful. Like when Pan blamed Goku for everything going wrong when she was the one who forced herself into the situation, she was the who made them leave prematurely and caused them to go off course, and Goku ...

Re: Personal Disconnect Between Kid and Adult Goku
Unfortunately Z is no longer available subbed online but Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT are both available on Crunchyroll and Hulu with subtitles and Super* is available with its subs on Crunchyroll. I'm sorry, what? Crunchyroll doesn't have the Japanese version of Dragon Ball Z? That's insane... R...

Re: Personal Disconnect Between Kid and Adult Goku
Goku isn't as static as people claim he is. His growth as a fighter was a primary focus of part 1 Dragon Ball and we see him become wiser and more perspective.
The Cell and Boo arcs was probably him at his most serious. Too bad we'll never see Goku written like that again.

Re: Are these four main women in Dragon Ball really "just house wives"?
Videl and Chi-Chi specifically not doing anything really bothers me. 18 still kicks ass imo, and Bulma was never much of a fighter. But the first two do have the potential to be great fighters, yet they aren't, and I still have no idea why. Videl kicked so much ass without throwing a blow when some...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I feel like that's like saying "Blackface make up in old silent films and early talkies are fun". Maybe someone find them fun, who knows. Either you're trolling, totally insanse or high on drugs. There's nothing fun about sexism, racism, or even pedophilia. It depends on how it's done if ...

The franchise isn't dying anytime soon. It's sustained popularity and influence on the industry over the years is proof of that.

Shunsuke Kikuchi had such a distinctive style. He captured the essence of Dragon Ball like no other and it's hard to watch the anime without his music.

Super at least feels like Dragon Ball. GT just feels like a bad Saturaday morning cartoon.

Re: Is GT worth watching?
Yes, it is worth watching. 90% of GT is fun. It's an ironic post, but I genuinely like GT and hate how people try to present their opinions as facts. And sadly it's always the hating ones are the loudest too. Besides, I thought Kanzenshuu is a place for more detailed posts and not nonsensical one-l...

This.
Roshi was a legendary martial artist back in his heyday. No doubt he's getting that retirement money.
