Re: DBZKai comes to the UK
I don't know what Kix you're watching, but I don't think its the same as mine. For the record, I have the episode recorded and the Farmer does not whimper, Raditz catches the bullet, makes his little speech, then it cuts to him noticing Piccolo's power level with only the sound of the exploded trun...

Re: International Kai Buu saga- An analysis
Maybe Toei was just waiting to accumulate a certain amount of capital for the project of doing more Kai , or perhaps they didn't want to do it until somebody said, "Eh, what the hell?" Maybe a restructuring of the people who make these decisions led to somebody who disagreed with the stop...

Re: DBZKai comes to the UK
This doesn't make sense. All of the Ocean voice actors who talked about the Ocean dub referred to it as the UK dub. The UK market is big enough to have a dub produced for it. Going by what Scott McNeil said about the producers insisting on the correct pronunciation of Namek, the producers are either...

Re: International Kai Buu saga- An analysis
Interesting analysis... well written. :) Thanks What you said about all the popularity and merchandising potential for the Buu era of the series is true... which makes me think the plan has been to hold off on it until 2013 or even 2014. Maybe the thinking is that the movie, some merchandise, and p...

International Kai Buu saga- An analysis
This has been on my mind since mid 2011 and I wanted to create a topic about it, but I needed to do research which I was either too busy or couldn't be bothered to do, but I've done it now...somewhat. I never accepted that Kai was 'cancelled' after the Cell Games, as some people tried to claim. I ma...

Re: Tree of Might - the Saban dub
It was Scott McNeil who voiced Oolong in the Pioneer uncut dub of Movie 3. I can recognise it's Scott and the voice is different to the voice used for Oolong in the Westwood/Ocean dub. I think Movie 3 is the only time Scott voiced Oolong. As to the topic at hand, I'm grateful that we have 2 Ocean du...

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
As for the music, like the Episode of Bardock, I hope Hiroshi Takaki is composing it. Just imo, but I found Takaki's music in EoB to be quiet, left to be desire and room for improvement, but if it's anything like on Ultimate Blast film cutscenes' music which I think Takaki composed then we're good ...

Re: Mystery Jump Countdown: New DB Movie Confirmed!
This is amazing news. I like how they market it as a 'surprise' and that 'all of humanity has been waiting' They know the Dragon Ball fans have been wanting decent major new material, whether a new series or a new film, for a long time. Finally, they listened and are delivering what hopefully would ...

Re: Super rare DBZ BGM track from Rebirth of the Fusion!!
Hello all, I need some serious assistance tracking down this piece of BGM. I must have been searching for hours yesterday on youtube but no luck, and that was not the first instance searching. It's from the DBZ movie 12 - Rebirth of the Fusion!!, but seems to only be on the French version. Here's t...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
The Buu saga music was a mix of Megaman, Monster Rancher and original pieces specifically made for DBZ. I thought that the music from the former 2 shows fit DBZ really well, even more so than those shows. It's a bit uncanny how it worked out but I'd take that mix of music over an all original music...

The music has already been replaced. A replacement of a replacement would make the show better due to the significant limitations of the former replacement music.

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
But we DON'T HAVE TO ACCEPT IT. What is the point if it makes the show less enjoyable? We are here to enjoy the show, not uphold some unwritten subjective standard most people don't care about. I suppose we have different ideas on what 'spits' on the product. Not saying that Kikuchi Kai spits on th...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
This is not a matter of taste. Yes, I do enjoy Shunsuke Kikuchi and Kenji Yamamoto's work and I even think the placement of Kikuchi's music in Kai is fine. But that's not the crux of the matter. If Toei decides to suddenly change the music for Kai to polka music, it doesn't matter whether I like it...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
Really? Because it was obvious to me the first time I heard Klassen's Roshi that it was him. Nobody had to tell me. Klassen's voice is pretty recognizable. Whether it be Kuririn, the Mole Man (Escaflowne), or Hachi (Inu Yasha). I always know when it's him. You may have heard more of his voices than...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
My experience with Blue Water dubs are mainly G Gundam and Zeta Gundam. G Gundam's dub can (maybe) be considered "so bad it's good" (though a lot of it is just plain bad), but Zeta Gundam's dub is just abominable, and it really miffed me because the show deserved better. I have not seen t...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
Dragon Ball I put Blue Water's dub of Dragon Ball a lot higher than Funi's dub. Funi's improved a lot since then, and I don't see why Blue Water wouldn'tve improved as well. If Blue Water have improved, along with the fact that I like the actual voices of the Blue Water cast more than Funi's, then I...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
Indeed, I want most of Ocean's original DBZ cast back, which is why they need to retain most of their Vancouver Z cast, the cast is one of the biggest factors on what makes the Ocean dub the best dub. To add to what I said in my previous post, I think a Blue Water dub of Kai would be good, better th...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
I seem to always be ignored on this forum by everyone so I will reiterate: Brendan Hunter has confirmed the production is going on and confirmed who is playing Goku. He is not allowed to say anything more due to the NDA rigmarole; obviously he's in on the production as an actor. He could reprise hi...
