Re: ssj x10 multiplier?
I have the multiplier as 10x everywhere else in the series. As a side effect, It helps with Dr. Gero + Suppressed Piccolo + Gohan + Kulilin + Tenshinhan > SSJ Vegeta. So does the humans being around the millions. Tenshinhan even reacted to Gero's lasers with somewhat more difficulty than Goku did. ...

Comparisons of the DB (Pre-Z) Releases and the Color Manga?
Usually the various Dragon Ball releases (Blue Bricks, Saga sets, Banana Bricks, etc.) are compared to the Japanese Dragon Box (afaik the US never had a Dragon Box for pre-Z Dragon Ball). Has anyone done comparisons between all the Dragon Ball releases and the full color manga? Or is anyone willing ...

Re: Xenoverse Suggests Beerus Is Millions X Buu-arc Saiyans?
Feats and hype wise DBS Beerus >>>>> BoG Beerus (the xenoverse one) SSJB Goku is weaker than 10% DBS Beerus. In BoG, god Goku was a 6 compared to Beerus' 10. DBS Beerus is universal and mftl while BoG Beerus has a solar system statement and no speed feats Feats wise Beerus destroys Gogeta. Power sca...

Re: ssj x10 multiplier?
The way I feel Toriyama probably meant it, from an artist and writer point of view, is essentially "it's 50x, but it felt more like 10x when I drew it. " In the sense that a large increase like 50-fold is hard to visualize. The way I interpret it is: I draw it as a 10x boost but the Freez...

Re: What is the best pieces of evidence that makes you think
What is the best pieces of evidence that makes you think;- 1. Freeza > base Saiya-jins? or base Saiya-jins > Frieza? 2. Base Saiya-jins > Kaioshin or Kaioshin > base Saiya-jins? 3. Kid Buu > South Kaioshin or South Kaioshin > Kid Buu? 4. Dabra > Perfect Cell or Perfect Cell > Dabra? For example: I ...

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
Did you mean high? I don't think I've ever seen anyone on this site besides ahill1 try to argue for Pocus being that strong. I have Puipui > non Majin Puipui > King Cold To Bobbidi, King Cold would be the 2nd strongest in the universe with Puipui being first I have 70% Freeza >= Cold because 70% Fr...

Re: Did Toriyama REALLY say this?
Findin it terribly insultin when fans (worse, kids born 5 years ago) remembers more detail abt DragonBall than its original author does. What do you do for a living, and do you remember every single minute detail spanning back 30 years about what you've done, how you've done it, and how i...

Re: It should be Cabbe, not Cabba
since his name is a pun of the Japaneses word for cabbage, Kyabetsu I don't know how many times we have to say this: It's not an original Japanese word for cabbage: it's their approximation of our English word. This isn't the equivalent of "yasai is their word for vegetable" or "gyun...

Re: Dragon Ball 'Super History Book'
So I realize I've asked this about previous book releases, but it bears asking on this one too - how worthwhile would picking this book up be if one can't read a bit of Japanese? Still incredibly worth it. It's a joy to flip through. There's no reason NOT to buy this book. How much is it in US doll...

Re: It should be Cabbe, not Cabba
But it loses the point of the pun. No it doesn't, the pun is on one of the Japanese words for cabbage (from what I've read in this thread, it still seems to be the case), unlike Kakarot/Kakarotto/Kacarotto/Kacarot/Kacarroto/Kacarrot (I think I made a thread for Goku's Saiyan name), Vegeta, Tarble, ...

Well then like I said, they messed up. It would be like if Vegeta's name was Ya or Yas and we still call him Vegeta. Also if Tarble was, Sai or Ai and we still call him Tarble

Re: It should be Cabbe, not Cabba
Dude, the whole of Dragon Ball, One Piece ,etc, is in Japanese. If its in Japanese, and it has an immediate equivalent in the language that is being translated to, it should be translated . Not just if the word is in English or a rough romanization of it. If anything I saw a scanlation call her Car...

So they didn't make it into the Daizenshu and Chozenshu but they made it in this guidebook? Some of them were incorporated into the daizenshuu and other places. For instance, it the first (so far as we know) source for Raditz's 1,500 and Nappa's 4,000. I know, I should've been clearer. I meant the ...

He meant the little kid who was part of the Usopp Pirates. And using fansubs as the standard official translations should follow?  You didn't understand me, I know who he's talking about. I'm saying that in the manga (and will be in the anime eventually) there's a new girl named C...

Also, We wouldn't translate Ninjin (hypothetical character name) as Carrot because even though Ninjin means Carrot, it is not the word the Japanese use to pronounce the English Carrot. That word is Karotto. It would be weird and ugly to call Ninjin, Carrot  There's a One Piece character named...

Re: It should be Cabbe, not Cabba
My big fear is that too many people will automatically pronounce "Cabe" to rhyme with "Abe" and it will be Gine all over again. Overall I don't think "Cabba" is any more of a stretch than "Tullece". Though I suppose that one's not universally accepted either....
