For whatever it's worth, I'm with TripleRach on this one. "Son" appears to be the only family name that ever gets passed along in the story. And even at that, it only seems to get passed to the sons (no pun intended). I don't remember ever seeing Chichi, Videl or Pan take the name. I think...
