Re: The end of "Akira Toriyama canon"

Many indie western comics are similar with manga with the comic is over when the author is done with it. Like as seen with The Maxx, Invincible, Hellboy (the spin offs are still a thing), Preacher, etc.

Re: Dragon Ball Without Its Creator

I doubt he will be writing and drawing any new DB stuff. From what I've seen, he is not a writer or artist.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)

I feel like Daima will be like the Kamen Rider Kuuga of DB with both of them being based on beginning concept ideas and released after their creator died.

What's wrong with it? I'm serious. I'm amazed by the AI's posibilities, but I don't understand. Explain it to me like I'm five years old, please. AI could throw away many people's jobs. Many people will have no jobs or be forced to work at places that they don't like. Conservatives are like "A...

Re: Justin Chatwin apologizes for Dragonball Evolution

I don't like the film, but I can get enjoyment out of it for being bad. It has a cheesy martial arts direct to video 90s vibe to it. Feels right at home next to the 90s Fist of the North Star live action film.

Re: Justin Chatwin apologizes for Dragonball Evolution

Honestly, this movie gets too much hate. Sure, it's bad, but I don't think it was the even the worst film of 2009 when you had shit like Legend of Chun Li, Transformers 2, Wolverine Origins, 2012, etc that year.

I was thinking the same thing too. Seriously, comic books have been a big part of many people's nostalgia. It's pretty stupid and laughable to say Marvel wasn't exactly a source for so many people's childhoods like Dragon Ball was.

Re: The end of "Akira Toriyama canon"

Stuff is canon to whatever it fits in that continunity. GT is not canon to Super because it's impossible for the two to link each other in a singlar continuity. Dragon Ball has mutiple continunites with each of them having their own canon to me. It's like how series like Godzilla, Halloween, Alien &...

Re: Akira Toriyama Passes Away.

I don't think its at all an exaggeration at this point to cite Toriyama as one of the single most influential and globally impactful Japanese Manga artists of all time. Top 5 without question, alongside Osamu Tezuka, Go Nagai, and Leiji Matsumoto. No doubt about that. Shotaro Ishinomori, Runiko Tak...

I really hate that people still say this. They lost the DB movie rights long before Fox was bought by Disney.

Re: Dragon Ball Without Its Creator

I feel like Dragon Ball will probably be like how Kamen Rider was after Shotaro Ishinomori died. Toei will milk it and we still get good content, but still won't feel the same.

Re: Dragon Ball Without Its Creator

It's going to feel odd without him around. However, the series will move on without him. Bandai and Shueisha still have plenty of stuff to milk the series with. Series like Kamen Rider as an example, was able to do new stuff without the original creator alive.

The future of Dragon Ball is going to be up in the air. Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is the last film that he wrote and Daima will be his piece of DB work ever.

I actually hope they're not gonna drop all 20 episodes at once.
That seems like a norm for many Streaming series. They will probably do that.

So according to you, Bill Gates is a kind, good-hearted person who cares about you very much, and the fact that he never finished College, has no medical degree, but yet is allowed to give medical advice, isn't that big of a deal. And forcing people to get the COVID Vaccine should never have been m...

How long would have taken Funimation to dub DBZ if they didn't skip the rest of DB?

Had the Pilaf saga been a hit on American TV in 1995 and Funimation finish the rest of the show, how long would have taken for them to reach DBZ to do so? Skipping the rest of DB and going staight to DBZ felt like a double edge sword to me. It did help the series become more popular, but also made p...
