It reminds me of something you'd hear from Immediate Music or some other epic trailer music. The vocals are good as is the instrumental track. The synthesizer(?) bit at the 56 second mark is an interesting touch as well. Overall, a pretty decent track.

I don't see the need. If someone is that unattached to their name to change it often enough to need that, then I don't see that they are attached to the new one anymore than the old one.
