Re: General Website Goofs/Errors
Regarding the History of Rivals post the ticket price reads 1,800yen instead of 800. Also Banpresto don't exist anymore Bandai Spirits absorbed them and only use the Banpresto branding for prize figures. Also think it might be worth mentioning that the SSGSS Goku is a re issue from the March 2018 Ic...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
I don't think the inclusion of the Full-Power form was any different from, say, including Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God. I legitimately don't see Toriyama writing anything other than "Broli forces Vegeta to use Super Saiyan and after they fight some more Gokuu steps in and fights as a Supe...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
To me it seems all Toei did was shoehorn the form within the script instead of adjusting the script to accommodate the form and to justify it. Maybe that's what Toriyama assumed they would do. At the end of the day it's all about execution, changes are fine if they are done right or even potentially...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
Toriyama needs to stop giving his stamps out. Like with Toyotaro and Vegetto he should have told Shintani no to FP Broly instead of "okay but don't make him too muscley" it is quite clear now Toriyama's SS Broly with no pupils was his version of an homage and homages are perfect when done ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Your comment would make sense of Toei ONLY cared about quality. But I don't think that's what will happen. I don't think Toei suddenly has turned into a company only caring about quality. I've read plans of a new department in TOEI only dedicated to DB a couple of years ago, i wonder how much of th...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Ultra Instinct was revealed first in Xenoverse 2 ahead of the anime. The whole “main product” talking point (which I’m probably extremely responsible for?) is completely irrelevant and doesn’t even make sense to bring up with the current state of the franchise’s production. No single version is a c...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
DB is making more money right now than it ever did on air, it doesn't need to come back. If the manga is going to be adapted it would've been by now. Toei's decision to not bring back Super has nothing to do with the manga, it's all about timing and finances. Once the anime does return, there's no ...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
I know Toyo isn't and probably never will be nearly as good as Toriyama, but we gotta keep an open mind. As much as I love Toriyama's original work, he's become a corporate yes man now, so Toyotaro taking over completely will be nothing but good news for the franchise. If the Moro arc is anything t...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I truly believe, the arc's premise started off well. Entering with Dai Kai, Galactic Patrol and Merus. I just thought the body [in between] work was sluggish, stalling the plot at times. Now we are at the climax, Toyotaro can make or break this saga with this. I'm rooting for Toyotaro, for the sake...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
I think an anime adaptation of this arc could elevate it and maybe change people's minds. Toyotaro is hated so much that even if he does something good some people will refuse to see it, so maybe the anime can help give Moro a chance  Nah, seen enough of his arc to know it's garbage. He is a g...

Re: Moro Arc
When it comes to Moro arc pacing, I'm not sure if it's only Toyotaro's fault. The pacing is completely different from all the other arcs. It could've been his decision, but it can also be because someone from Shueisha/Toei told him to drag the arc, because it's obvious the anime isnt coming back th...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
I myself certainly have no interest in seeing the current manga arc in animated form. In fact, I’d actually prefer that it doesn’t get animated. If we’re going to get more animated Dragon Ball content, I’d rather they just stick with movies. There is nothing unique about this arc 100% better left u...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
He is 100% wrong. How can you say this with absolute certainty? Besides, that was Geekdom’s speculation from a few months ago. I don’t get why people act like: 1. It has to be true; 2. Nothing has changed in the past few months. Even if Toriyama, at the time, hadn’t written any new story for Dragon...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
The fact we have no idea if the Moro arc will even ever be animated speaks volumes of how they see non-Toriyama written stuff. It is not Toriyama’s arc therefore it’s unimportant, or not as important as what comes directly from Toriyama, even though it’s Dragon Ball, it’s selling well and it’s seem...

Re: Super Saiyan 2 Appreciation Thread
Basically for it's aesthetics. Sharp, defined hair & bio-electricity with increased power level is sure 🔥 I love it because of how fierce it looks. Everyone only thinks of Gohan with when it comes to the form, but even Goku and Vegeta look great with it (though Vegeta has the least noticeable c...

Re: Do you think we'll ever see more of the ToP fighters?
It really depends if Dragon Ball continues? More films or another animated shows is up in the air right now. Coronavirus complicates things even further and is potentially lethal to Akira Toriyama, Masako Nozawa, and other essential members at Toei. We'll probably see them again in Dragon Ball Hero...

Re: Opinion - Ultra Instinct Sign
I'm not a fan of it becoming just another transformation, I'm also not a fan of its calm and collected behavior seemingly being left behind. What I really liked about it during the anime's TOP is how silent Goku was, you could tell that whoever he was fighting was finished. This is the second time ...

Re: So, did DBZ Movie 14, and everything after scratched your DB itch?
Well, just the way they market the franchise. The way transformations get treated as pure action figure fuel, like SDBH: UM introduces a new transformation for a character with little fanfare almost every episode. At least people are getting different action figures, though. It's more problematic w...

It seems like Vegeta still won't be appearing, so I really hopr tnat Toyotaro won't disappoint me when he gets involved. Expecting Toyotaro to not disappoint you are playing a dangerous game... A lot of readers (and fans) are super salty about the fact that Goku is getting hit by Moro while in Ultr...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
They would care if people quit buying everything with the Dragon Ball name attached to it and we made them actually work for our hard earned dollars Funimation's primary target is the North American fan base, the most ignorant side of the community . As far as they're concerned, Funimation is doing...
