I appreciate the different colors for GT. I think it was wise for the series to distance itself from the original, and the colors help make it feel like it exists in its own world apart from DB and DBZ.

Just because a story is ending, doesn't mean it should be longer. Plenty of final seasons are shorter, often because the writers want to craft something lean and mean.
