Toriyama's always really written with a family-esque audience in mind, at least that's how I see some of his work.

Voice actors are free agents. Hebert is not exclusively linked to Viz Meda he just happens to live close to studios that Viz uses in LA. Same with Schemmel in NYC. I honestly cannot see a live action film being made. The film would work much better as a motion capture film ala Advent Children. What I find interesting is that TOEI or FUNimation have yet to pipe up, I mean seriously what's going on with that? I just do not like the smell of this.
