Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

It's not like beyond the BoG's line, there's any more glarring evidence for Freeza > base Saiyans, quite the contrary... And even that line is questionable, because: • Beerus so far cannot and does not have the ability to say how strong someone is with accuracy just by looking or poking a person. •...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 101 - Official Discussion Thread

It's new territory, but not that new? The plus side to this seemingly straight-up sequel to the movie is that we will probably get more of Goten, Trunks (with luck, which we don't have, finally teen Gotenks), Pan and Marron. We have yet to see how a two-year-old Bra looks like. Now's another chance ...

Re: Inclusivity towards women in Dragon Ball?

I think it's interesting that the games have done this multiple times. Towa is undeniably the 100% "behind the scenes" super master in multiple continuities/stories, and then we got #21 from FighterZ . There are also uhhhhhh those Heroes characters...??? Whose names I'll never remember???...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

A new year is upon us, but I don't think there's much to celebrate. Well, there is the fortieth Dragon Ball anniversary, but if I made a thread about such a big event now, I would have to deal with "you didn't wait for the exact day and month!1!1!11!". At any rate, is it really a "big...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread

So just out of curiosity, we are all in agreement that Kaioshin of East can easily defeat Freeza and that this same dude is weaker than base Saiyans, right?

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

He got oneshot by Frieza? i know DB fans are bad at power scaling, but this is crazy. I agree. It's crazy that just because someone gets "oneshot", they suddenly become weak. Without taking into consideration factors and contexts. Bardock was probably the thirteenth strongest Saiyan, but ...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

1. Dragon and Minato one of the strongest in they veres, past and present, Toriyama Bardock was not, especially when you had every soldier in the Frieza Force, King Cold, Frieza, Ginyu Force, King Vegeta, Prince Vegeta And the Kais stronger then him We know nothing of Monkey D. Dragon, and Minato N...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

So still a bum and not one of the strongest in the series? just like i said? What's your point anyway? Bardock never was one of the "strongest in the series" generally speaking, not even Ooishi Naho's Bardock, who is the Legendary Super Saiyan, is the "strongest in the series", ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 100 - Official Discussion Thread

it was also his idea too have him show up for no reason in the arc. Dende forbids one of his many, many assaults to have some consequences in the future. Why would they and what are the chances, right? Toriyama's Bardock was a bum unlike Luffy and Naruto's dads who were some of the strongest in the...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

I guess there's that. Though I think by "us" Piccolo is referring to the difference between him and Kaioshin of East specifically, not "everyone" as you said in your last post. Be that as it may, we can't rule out that Piccolo forfeited due to the status difference. Not that I wa...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

You're all better off not trying to find excuses and explanations for things that don't have (in-universe) excuses and explanations. Just call them what they are: problems, contradictions and inconsistencies. They even dared to tell audience that Buu had god Ki ( twice ), even though his Ki could be...

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions

That being said, I wish fans had that much leniency with mostly-harmless non-Toriyama material. Coddling Toriyama ensures you get to have some friends to talk to. Considering we haven't seen the King Kai's quadrant-based peers or the Grand Kai since, I doubt they're even canon. https://i.postimg.cc...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)

The most impressive example I've noticed of Toriyama remembering something that fans didn't notice is God Ki. While it's BoG that made everyone even learn about it, it was actually there during Buu saga. Shin in 439 notes that Piccolo only managed to recognize who he is because he used to be Kami, ...

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced

Were you expecting them to show everything all at once? I was expecting them to show more than just that. if it story stuff then your setting yourself up for disappointment Only if they retell Dragon Ball Z for the bazillionth time. If it provides new story, probably featuring a new character, it w...

Toriyama on Vegeta's techniques being in English is true. He never said anything else regarding this topic, as far as I know.

Re: A new Budokai Tenkaichi has been announced

Almost a year after being announced (followed by an ungodly silence) and that is all they have to show. The Game Awards and the Oscars should include the "Best & Worst Marketing Campaign" category, that's one thing Dragon Ball these days would become a staple on, probably even on a win...

Re: Death Battle Goku vs Superman again...again

• As always, there is no "CC Goku". Just "Goku", or "Dragon Ball Super Goku". • Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Xenoverse aren't connected in any way (and that especially goes for Dragon Ball Online). There's an alternate ending in Xenoverse where your Time Patroller...

Re: Plural of the word "Saiya-jin"

As already said, until an official spelling becomes the norm, these words should be bound by the already known grammatical rules of the region. If your language uses "S" to denote plural, then the plural of "Saiyajin" should be "Saiyajins". I don't know about the hyphen...

Re: Death Battle Goku vs Superman again...again

Well, how convenient that on the day I saw this thread, Comics Explained posted a video in which Superman loses to Godzilla . The bigger you are, the slower you get so I would imagine Godzilla would definitely lose against the likes of Superman, but eh... Normally, I'd say Superman would win against...

Re: Death Battle Goku vs Superman again...again

We are still doing this despite so many interesting fights to be done instead? I'm willing to bet these are the same people who complain about "lack of creativity" everywhere else. Who wins? Whoever the writer(s) want. Expect any differences in approach? No. Same nonsense as always. Right ...
