I had every single FUNimation VHS release of DB and DBZ. I bought them the day they came out and sometimes earlier. The problem with VHS is the quality and accessibility is so much worse than DVD. I sold the entire collection on eBay for a good $600. I guess someone out there still has a working VCR...

Cell surviving Goku's sacrifice was bad ass. I really liked how that played out but the biggest and baddest villian moment would have to be Black killing Commander Red after learning his true plans. It's so unexpected and it really gives off a real contrast to the light-hearted "gitty-ness"...

It would also be hard to really get a grasp as to how much clearer the Japanese Audio is on the DragonBox as opposed to FUNimation's discs.

Well I would certainly watch. However, the quality of the video you put up for download should be quite high in order to truly grasp comparison to FUNi discs, if that is your intentions.

All I can say is AWESOME. The jealously meter just went through the roof.

Those pictures make me want to burn my FUNi discs. I didn't realize the whole "line" problem until you pointed it out and it looks even worse on a full screen tv. The DragonBox just seems more valuable as the comparisons continue.

The fights in DragonBall and very early DBZ were the best as far as animation and fluidity. It's much more entertaining to watch 3 punches and 1 kick in a Tenkaichi Budokai of DB than 4 big bursts of light in the air ofthe Cell Games. I remember watching it with my friend and he was like "what ...

I think FUNi did a good job with Krillin's voice in Dragonball to help match DBZ. Also, I enjoy Chi-Chi's voice even though the whole "slang" thing is no where to be seen....er...heard.

Word. I'm all about discussing the DragonBox. Let me just reinitiate the conversation with a quick question. For those of you that have purchased the Box(lucky), has it not met, reached, or exceeded your expectations?

The dub voice for General Blue in Dragonball is truly amazing. It has character, class, and enough homosexual innuendo to satisfy any fan of the series who knows the "true" Blue.

Puar and Upa's tactics in taking down Dracula were probably the random-est and most creative in the entire series. Where did they get that garlic?

That DVD player isn't even worthy of these discs. Hell, if I was to go all out and spend the amount to get the DragonBox, might as well get a heck of a good dvd player to show off the goods.

Sometimes the best way to find entertainment and excitement is through illogical events. As far as the DragonBall universe is concerned, anything we see is possible. Just accept it and move on.
