It was introduced with the Halloween update.

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

Also are those fighting game tournaments really that important? I think a game's fun factor is due to its longevity not what a tournament crowd dictates. It having tournaments means that the gameplay has longevity, that it has legs by its own merits to last for a while and that it's not a simply &q...

Re: "Jump Force" Official Discussion Thread

A waste of character if I ever saw one. Eh, not as wasteful as Vegeta. That's prince Vegeta to you. I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh fan as well but I think there are more characters that should be prioritized such as from DB, Naruto, Hunter X Hunter, etc. Characters who actually fight should be the priority....

Imagine thinking a character from a popular franchise is a waste of a slot in a game designed to include characters from popular franchises.

Yugi is a great addition, much better than another One Piece character.

No, you just don't like the stylistic choice they've gone with. There's a fat difference.
No, plenty of models just look plain bad, regardless of the artstyle. Freeza does not look okay, at all.

Re: "Jump Force" Official Discussion Thread

Ah yes I also remember when J-Stars was a 1v1 with 3v3 Marvel VS Capcom character style 3D Arena Fighter and not a 2v2 Gundam Versus style 3D Arena Fighter.

Jump Force isn't a sequel to J-Stars, it's just yet another game celebrating Jump.

His answers are also being incredibly rude and entitled. I admit José's post (the one Feist was replying to with that awful Nozawa comment) was a bit "angrily" written but it was still respectful and had valid points, and Feist didn't even try to address them! He just scoffed! José is act...

I don't know how you can check Freeza's moveset in the game, look at Coola's trailer and call him a clone. At this point you're just projecting what you want onto the character, despite the fact they look like they'll play nothing alike.

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

You didn't have to pay them as DLC characters, the base forms were always (and supposed to be) in the base games without having to pay extra. That's what I meant. What dictates which character forms are "supposed" to be in the base games anyway, other developers doing it? Pretty sure ther...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

If I had the game, I would. I'm fascinated by base Goku's playstyle. I'm talking about the DLC practices, which I find them to be horrible . Remember when we had to through hard sh*t IN-GAME to unlock new characters? Those were good times. Having DLC didn't stop developers from making you unlock ne...

And? What's your point? He should've been in from the jump. Well, he's not, that's the point. (Does FighterZ still desperately need some balance adjustments and thankfully does it seem like we might be getting some soon even though it's far too late for them to be doing that in earnest?) (Yes.) Adm...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

Demon Rank is the sixth highest rank in the game and the only reason I didn't go higher is because I stopped playing after getting the trophy for 530,000 battle power. I won 78% of all games I played just by using by spamming auto combos and level 3 finishes. It doesn't require that much skill to b...

Technically both games have infinite "bang for your buck" as long as you have someone who wants to play it with you.

No it didn't. People knew what to expect out of it by that first trailer and initial E3 videos, a 2D Fighter with DBZ characters. It hyped everyone up. Meanwhile Jump Force just looks like a bleaker J-Stars, which plenty of people didn't enjoy the gameplay of, so these gameplay videos where charact...

Re: "Jump Force" Official Discussion Thread

The problem osn't the graphics per se, it's the aesthetic. Graphically, the game looks really good with the realistic effects and shaders, but as a fan of these franchises, it doesn't look appealing in any way. The older games that look fine and are still considered great usually have great presenta...

It's certainly not comparable to the likes of Tekken 7 or Mortal Kombat X or some of these other high profile fighting games. It's fairly simplistic for the most part with a sheer lack of moves of which the vast majority can all be performed with the same simple button combination of quarter circle...

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" Official Discussion Thread

While I do think FighterZ is kind of a bad package with every single-player mode looking like it wasn't playtested by the team (because otherwise Arcade mode wouldn't be like this), I think the fighting and fanservice more than makes up for it. This is ArcSys' first go at a DB home console game and ...

Re: What if Dimps continued the Budokai series right after 3?

It is what it is. You can tell Boo's Fury is a proper sequel because it it continues where LoG2 left off (i.e adapting the Boo arc), it's not a case of it being the same game with more or less stuff, it's overall a different game. Sparking Meteor while not being a big step up compared to the jump fr...

Just like Buu's Fury was Legacy of Goku 3, despite not being called that.
No.

Infinite World is Super Budokai 3, not a Budokai 4. Just compare how each game in the series evolved from 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 and then look at Infinite World.
