Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
What exactly are you getting at if you don’t feel a consistent reminder is warranted to prove that Vegeta puts his family before his own personal ambitions then? You give off the impression that ultimately it just stems from a personal bias against the character and you’re just grasping at any straw...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
That doesn't dispute my point. Bulma was Vegeta's primary incentive to win the tournament. And as I said, showed no real care until about his family until 123. Before then, he showed more care towards Cabba and proven he’s the best. If he really had his family or universe in mind, why didn’t he hel...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
Someone explain to me why this discussion is had and why you guys only apply 20% human standards to them? if you look in totality, both are shit dads cause they do no actual childrearing. Neither goku or vegeta take their kids to school , pack lunches, help them with hw, go to PTA meetings, etc. Th...

Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie Thread: "Broly"
Calling Vegeta a better father than Goku isn't the same as 'father of the year'. Especially when the line in the interview said 'cares a little more', which isn't that good either in terms of fatherhood. it's true, and either way you know exactly what I mean. No need to nitpick. Not really since Ve...

Why did Freeza think attempting to belittle his brother who was three forms above him at that moment was a good idea?

This question is directed to either Mike or Julian: What are your stances on Viz's "Burdock" against the most commonly used "Bardock" spellings? Which would you say is more appropriate, and why?

Definitely glad I wasn't the only one thinking that. The Bulma calling out to Vegeta scene reminded me of Mickey calling out to Rocky in Rocky 5.RedHeat wrote:This episode reminded me of a Rocky movie.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
I never really minded the British accent. I thought it was fine when I heard it in XenoVerse. I just wasn’t a fan of the cringey jokes and his base form voice, and I’m glad it was improved in the current episodes of the dub. What gets me is his explanation for the accent though. Sounds like a bunch ...

What "promise"? The "promise" Toei mentioned once and never referenced again? Toyotaro didn't promise anything. The new form line wasn't even in the manga.Grimlock wrote:Well, now it's up to Toyotaro to give the promised form to Gohan.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Another pretty good chapter, I prefer it over the anime, as with Toyo's version of the arc in general. Would have liked to see Goku vs Freeza, since that battle looked like it was intense, but I understand pages are limited. U6 made the chapter for me. Kuririn standing next to 18 looks so awkward, t...

I wonder what the general consensus of Brianne is in Japan.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
This tournament isn't even about how many people eliminate, it's about how many people survive. As seen with Champa there are two ways of how universes are going along with things. They survive by eliminating or deciding to just have as many people stay on the arena as possible. In that instance wi...
