Re: Why was "Ultimate Tenkaichi" advertised as a game?
It's a game. You may not like it, but that doesn't alter what it is. Complaining that these more cinematic style games aren't games is like complaining that an FPS isn't a game, because it's not a platformer. Games come in all shapes and sizes, all kinds of genres and styles, and cinematic is just o...

Re: Dragon Ball in Hollywood. What could've been...
I actually think the closest thing in a Hollywood movie that I've seen to a "Dragon Ball"-style fight was the last fight in the movie, "Chronicle." And that movie was done on a (by Hollywood standards) nearly non-existent budget of 12 million. I just saw that movie recently, and...

I don't know about soon, but eventually. I have not given up on it, I'm just not really finding the time to make progress.

Wouldn't be any stranger than when American comics have a change of artist.
Though I'm kind of hoping they manage to get Beta here to do more. So far I really like what I see.

Yeah, he's spent his entire life dealing with them, so it probably never crossed his mind that they wouldn't realize right away that they have no sensible energy. As for descriptions, it's a good thing he didn't, as that would have completely screwed up the plot once 17 and 18 were introduced, since...

Re: If Saiyans > Kaioshin why was Piccolo afraid to fight?
I know its non canon but base Gohan crushed Freeza without so much as trying in Fusion Reborn. Ultimate Gohan, not base. Major difference. Gohan was normal, definitely not Ultimate. Both his bang & eyes where normal. Besides, when Movie 12 was released, Ultimate Gohan wasn't even seen in the an...

Re: If Saiyans > Kaioshin why was Piccolo afraid to fight?
Piccolo's drive was Goku and since he knows he cannot surpass Goku his training might have gone down. Even if the thinks he can't catch Goku he's not one to stop trying. Piccolo didnt fight in the Buu saga what are you talking about? I never said he fought, I said he helped. And he was willing to f...

Re: If Saiyans > Kaioshin why was Piccolo afraid to fight?
First of all You dont know Piccolo's personality he could have stopped caring after seeing the Saiyans powers at the Cell Games. But I do know Piccolo's personality, just like I know Goku's appetite. He didn't stop caring, if he had he wouldn't have been helping out during the Buu saga. Ok seriousl...

Re: If Saiyans > Kaioshin why was Piccolo afraid to fight?
I would imagine that Piccolo is just weaker. I mean no one knows if he had trained the 7 years It's Piccolo. Him not training for seven years would be like Goku (well, living Goku) not eating for seven years. It's just not going to happen not to mention Vegeta is fairly confident that he could beat...

Re: Vegeta as a villain.
I'm sorry, but up to the end of the Siayan arc, there were only so many people above Vegeta: Dodoria, Zarbon, Ginyu, Recoom, Freeza, Jeice, Butter, Freeza. For that matter, we would have to point out that Goku was weaker than base Vegeta even then. And for some reason I feel the need to point out t...

Re: Dragon Ball and your parents?
My dad never really watched it himself, but for several years we only had one TV, and the computer was maybe 5 feet away from it, so he was exposed to it whenever I watched the show, the movies, or played the games. He never became a fan, but he got it, and it didn't take long before he was recogniz...

Re: The Official Unofficial Power Levels Thread
The robots don't have power level, at all. The only reason Goku was having trouble is because they are huge and are resistant to most of the physical attacks. Metal Jacket was done in only because of Goku's Kamehameha. Adjutant Black's Battle Jacket had fuel and equipments to give him speed and pow...

Re: A Question for dub fans.
Not particularly. I still prefer a lot of the dub terms/names over the JP originals, for various reasons. Though, with the like of Satan, I freely alternate between Mr. Satan, Hercule, and (when I know people will understand who I'm talking about) Mark.

Re: Captain Ginyu tracks down The Great Elder
Yeah, I don't think his max with the Kaioken was power related but training related. He'd improved his durability in the 100x gravity training which was what let him use the higher level, more straining, Kaioken. So even when he first landed he'd still been able to do the x20. A well placed Kaioken ...

Re: Kami-sama and the Moon
Possible, but not particularly likely. The range of effect for Shenron's probably only a hundred square miles or so, at best. That's an awfully small area compared to the entire planet. And if ti happened during the night then there's even less chance it would be noticed.

Re: Kami-sama and the Moon
I think it's just a big balloon he has to blow up and tether to the Earth with a string. The most likely explanation. I've always figured he has some level of control over the Earth system, not the solar system but just the Earth specific bits, and was able to restore the moon back to normal ...
