Boobs
Back in the original BD manga, as well as the anime adaptions, the female characters had very different chest sizes. Some of them had quite large boobs like Bulma and ChiChi, while others like 18 and Videl were flatter. But ever since BoG all these female characters have been drawn with the exact sa...

Re: Could The Z Senshi Have Become Strong Enough To Fight ROF Freeza Without SSJG/SSJB?
They absolutely could, considering that this is excatly what Future Trunks did; reached a power level similar to SSB without having any God ki whatsoever. And all he had to do was get pissed of. If he could do it, I'm sure as hell that Goku, Vegeta and Gohan could potentially do it too. Definitely G...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I have now made peace with Gohan being comparatively among the weaker characters.
APRIL FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLS!
Gohan sucks.

No, Gohan has the most potential, even if I'm honestly starting to think that he will never actually get to be strong again. But he could have been stronger than all the other Z fighters, thats for sure.

Re: In you opinion how strong is Arale canonically?
Another question: if Arale is really strong even by BDS standards, what canonical reason could there be for her not being chosen to participate in the ToP? It's a question that's not even supposed to be asked, I know, but if we do ask it.

Re: Was Dragon Ball really completely unknown in America in the late 1980's?
I don't see why it wouldn't be. Don't think they were airing the subs, or whatever dub around that time, and if they were, it was probably on like a horrendous air time, or didn't last very long. Not to mention just the generally fact that anime wasn't huge in America around that time from what I k...

Re: In you opinion how strong is Arale canonically?
Yes. She's like a comedic character so her feats are invalid. But the thing is, she does exist in canon. She did save Goku from General Blue, that much is indesputable. So the trick to try to consider which or how much of her comedic feats that "counts". She certainly headbutted Blue into...

Re: Watching Dragon Ball with kid(s) and their thoughts/reactions
Dont be like that. Girls like action too! Sure, but just going by both my own childhood experiences and my experience with kids now as an adult, girls in general just dont place action, especially fighting, on the same level of importance as boys. Just look at the way they play with toys. Give two ...

Re: Watching Dragon Ball with kid(s) and their thoughts/reactions
I notice that a lot of her reactions have to do with the "naughty" stuff in the series, which is of course to be expected at that age, lol. Anything provocative is funny. It will be interesting to hear what her reactions will be when she gets to the actually dramatic and exciting stuff. I ...

I sorta hope he disappears because for every characters that does, Gohan probably has a bit more chance of being cool again.

In you opinion how strong is Arale canonically?
I realize perfectly well that this question depends heavily on ones beliefs regarding the canonicity of the BDS episode in which she appears. But even if one believe the episode to be totally 100% non-canonical, we still know that Arale herself is unqestionably canon within the DB universe, and that...

Re: The Goku-Vegeta rivalry is the most overrated rivalry in fiction and should be concluded in Super
While it's true that it probably can't actually be called a rivalry, I did very much enjoy the relationship between them back in DBZ when it was all about Vegeta's massive inferiority complex towards Goku. That was very interesting. However, ever since Vegeta managed to more or less chill out about ...

Re: Was Dragon Ball really completely unknown in America in the late 1980's?
Dude, take a look back at what you said earlier: I was being hyperbolic with my comment. Speed Racer, Battle of the Planets, and Robotech, and Voltron were successful but the west didn't really know they were anime at the time and just thought of them as cartoons. It wasn't till Akira where a seriou...

Re: When Fights Don't Know Where to End
Honestly, the only time a fight has felt like it dragged on to long has been if the fight just wasnt very good. The BDS version of Goku VS Beerus is a good(bad?) example of this. Meanwhile an awesome fight like Goku VS Freeza on Namek never got boring despite being longer than my list of broken drea...

Re: Was Dragon Ball really completely unknown in America in the late 1980's?
With regards to things like Speed Racer, Robotech, Voltron, etc. what you're doing here is making the very same mistaken and wrong assumption that most people on Kanzenshuu have been making about U.S. anime history for roughly as long as I've been here: you're assuming that the "edited for mai...

Re: The All-Purpose "Versus" Thread
You can only have so many insane power-ups for Gohan in the series. This was arguably the biggest one Trunks got to acchieve god-level power just by getting pissed of. Gohan should be able to do the same. Otherwise all that talk throughout DBZ about Gohan's "potential" was just bullcrap, ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
What are you talking about with the Kamehameha against Toppo? The intent was to push him from the ring, while 17 contained him in the bubble. Gohan stopped when Toppo twisted 17's arm causing him to drop the barrier. He didn't want to harm his teammate. Gohan entered the tournament on par with a fu...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Gohan would fall behind 17, but by how much, I'm not sure. He definitely proved himself against some of the highest level fighters. No he didn't, not even once. He was HELPLESS against Toppo, while 17 and Frieza could at least do damage to him. He did beat up Dyspo but that doesn't matter since Dys...

Re: Now that Super is finished, what is the overall consensus of the series?
So your enjoyment of a series depens on how much they wank Gohan, because in the Buu saga he did way less than the Top(he did nothing in the buu arc pretty much)even after getting the cheapest power up. Also he was not the strongest at the end of Z,he was the strongest during the Buu arc. Gohan was ...

Re: Now that Super is finished, what is the overall consensus of the series?
He fought Goku SSB,Toppo, the fused robot and Dyspo and there is no reason to believe that any of the above characters arent God tier. He didn't defeat any of them but if he was a weak piece of crap he would have been fodderized/dominated but he didn't. Although not God tier, the entire Namekian ra...
