Re: The Manga is no more canon than the anime right?
The time limit shouldn't be applied to Fused Zamasu since Future Zamasu must be a Kaioshin since he used the time ring. Toyotaro goofed that one repeatedly while Toei did it right. You have to keep in mind it's a Toriyama-original plot point though. And the explanation is simple-enough, using the P...

Re: The Manga is no more canon than the anime right?
I argued that they are all canon and exist in different continuities. The person I argued with said Super is no more canon then GT or the movies and is just Toei BS while Toiryama actually has input of the manga. I disagreed with this becasue but the anime and manga come from his plot outlines and ...

Re: The Manga is no more canon than the anime right?
It honestly, LEGITIMATELY depends on your definition of canon. If one decided to go by what general marketing and media makes use of? Probably the anime. If you don't care? Probably both are equally canon. Buuuuuut, and this is where one has to be careful with their wording to avoid making people ma...

Re: is piccolo god level in the manga?
He uses the "us" plurality, so I'd argue the dialogue is ambiguous if he's collectively referring to the other powerful Z fighters. 17 certainly doesn't have any notable feats implying it.

Re: is piccolo god level in the manga?
I don't think it's Piccolo being implied to be as strong as Gohan, or anything along those lines. I believe he's just fulfilling the support role. A majority, if not nearly all of the the power coming from those attacks are from Gohan. Even when he planned to blow himself up against Moro, it's very ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I feel like people forget that Goku Black's body is basically just a post-U6 Goku who can't use the Kaioken. Like, yeah he has all that potential, but one-on-one it's not like he absolute demolishes Goku or Vegeta. (Before pulling up gifs of Goku Black blasting Goku, please note he still didn't mana...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Goku needed Kaioken because of the time skip. Without it Hit was getting beat by regular Blue Goku. That's basically what he's saying. If Goku needs Kaioken to deal with Hit, Goku Black probably wouldn't be able to deal with the timeskip either. Black is way stronger than Goku, he wouldn't need Kai...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Huh? Goku Black trashes Hit power wise. He would have a higher power level but Hit was superior to Goku Black overall. Goku had to use Kaio-ken X10 against Hit unlike Goku Black who wasn't that far ahead of him. Hit also then killed Goku immediately unlike Goku Black. Goku Black was the antagonist ...

Don't overthink it.
Simply put, the dragon can do it by shortening his lifespan, "condensing" his potential power throughout his life into the remaining three years.

Re: What if Jiren > Belmod has been quietly retconned already???!
We know it works irrespective of power (seemingly) in the manga. Goku used it on Fused Zamasu, who despite being stronger was still being disintegrated.Hellspawn28 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 2:22 pm Can Hakai even work if someone is above them in power? It would make things more broken and less risky if they can erase anything.

If Vegeta does get ANY new form I'd actually want him to have Super Saiyan Rose when he takes the mantle of God of Destruction.
It would make sense in the context of the story and not add a "new" form. It'd just be an appearance change for SSGSS to signify Vegeta's new role.

Re: The Toyotaro Appreciation Thread! (I think he’s a much better writer than Toriyama!)
I'll be honest, I vastly prefer his usage of SSG throughout the first 2 arcs over SSBKK, and I think his handling of the Future Trunks arc far outpaced Toei's version.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The reason that Vegeta used Hakai in base, is one of two reasons. Goku and Vegeta, have successfully concealed god ki in their bodies from leaking and transforming( In the Moro arc, when Dende is healing Goku and Vegeta it takes awhile because their level of ki is enormous i.e god ki) Or the Saiyan...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
One thing I'm not sure anyone has brought up before. Hakai almost assuredly doesn't require god ki, as we can see Vegeta using it in his base form. I can see this justifying it as an ability the dragon could grant Granolah, as it seemingly granted him both power and abilities to make him the "s...

In particular, I wouldn't go around saying anything is stronger than Gogeta Blue definitively. That's a character who far outclassed someone who was said to potentially be stronger than Beerus.
Is it possible? Maybe? But there's nothing definitive to say so or even imply, to be quite frank.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I don't assume anything unless we have an outright statement. That being said, I'll at least put Jiren below an Ultra Instinct Moro, who Beerus seemed confident he could at least do something about once fused with the planet, who gave Goku trouble. And Beerus is above an improved SSBE Vegeta, who wa...

I can see Caulifla on the grounds that she can be an excuse to have the U6 Saiyans teaming up. You can have Kale with super armor as an assist for various attacks, plus Cabba's Galick Cannon/Impulse slash.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I don't think it makes any kind of sense to say Kale in the manga was only half as powerful as Goku or Frieza. Frieza's statement is clearly meant to come off as a form of shame and embarrassment that Goku had to step in. Mind you, Goku in Blue ALSO had trouble with Kale, and both Vegeta and Toppo n...

DLC 12: out in spring. So we have 3 months from now. That could mean a 4 characters pack? I hate to burst the bubble but every time they give a season for a release date they mean the end of the season. Spring most likely means May or June. So 5 or 6 months from now. Not once in the past, I want to...

Demigra was effectively confirmed to be a Makaioshin ever since his backstory involved him being a potential vyer for the Supreme Kai of Time position.
Of course, Mechikabura also qualified, because for some reason he's just another redundant version of Demigra.
Make sense his earrings are Potara.
