"We couldn't afford to re-hire the Ocean Group seven years ago, used new actors, and now want to re-do the episodes with the current voice cast and musical composer for consistency's sake, include all of the episodes that we cut for time and general censoring, not to mention include the origin...

Yep, I'll be buying these. I haven't seen the Saiyan Saga in so long it's all just a blur from the first time I saw it. Though I agree, the "Ultimate Uncut Edition" is a little excessive.

In the issues of Jump they're in color but for some reason in the graphic novels, they're not.

I was introduced by the dub. I never even saw the Japanese version until I bought a DVD. At first I didn't really like watching in Japanese voices. Then I started watching a lot of my anime subbed and then I got used to hearing Japanese. Both versions are fine by me, I actually like the Japanese a l...

You can order off of the Viz website, if you want the Viz translations. They cost about $8 each and they have every volume.

Yeah, it is illegal. Not to mention it's hard to even find good quality versions.

Definitely, I can't tell you how many people I know that have gotten into anime because of Dragonball. Then the people usually just turn around and hate it. But what can ya do?

For example, the episode with Chouji's death was pretty lame if you ask me. We see all these flashbacks of Chouji and Shikamaru's past, and this very deep Goku/Kuririn type relationship that they had, but it's all just thrown at us in a matter of minutes. How are we supposed to care about this char...

I never got the point of advertising the novels, since they refuse to release the novels ahead of Jump magazine. Why would I want to buy the same chapters that I just finished reading in Jump? Yeah, it's just another marketing ploy. They know no one actually wants the Jump magazine. Most people wou...

Well, I'm not saying that all Naruto fans hate Dragonball, I'm a fan of Naruto myself (as indicated by avatar). But the Naruto community is where I see a majority of DB bashers.

If it isn't related to DB then it probably won't show up. This is a Dragonball fan site afterall.

Naruto fanboys, they hate everything that isn't Naruto. Also there's those people who hate something as soon as it becomes mainstream like DB has. The arguments I hear from people that hate DB are: "It's so old" "It became popular and only little kids like it now" "nArUt0 is...

But at least Viz doesn't make those kinda errors. Their releases look a lot more professional than TokyoPop's to me. A plus though, when Viz notices these problems they allow anybody with the errors to send in for a corrected copy. *just received his free corrected copy of DB vol. 16* :) Ahh, I was...

From what I understand, the Hellsing and Trigun animes had different endings from the manga. I can't confirm this since I've only seen the anime versions and not the manga. I know Inuyasha was an anime that ended differently from it's manga. I don't really keep up with Inuyasha anymore though. Is th...

One being the misprinted spine on DB vol. 16. Also in One Piece vol. 2, there was a repeated page and a page that was...

This brings up the question: what's the deal with Kuririn? Did he keep training or just settle down and become a family man? I like to think he kept training but only because Kuririn is such a great character.

It's still technically a "SJ Manga"(as in the SJ line), it just won't be in the mag (thus vulnerable to censorship and that crap), but rather a straight to GN release, in which most of those releases are fine and dandy, yet there is no telling how the adaption will be handled. Yeah, GN on...
