Now THAT was a great episode. A little too much talking, but much of it was useful. Excellent fights, choreography, animation, soundtracking, animation, epic moments, etc.

Manga Jiren doesn't look as good, and talks too much already. I vastly prefer the anime Jiren, though I do dislike the lack of exposition on Jiren's backstory in the anime, which the manga appears to already have begun tackling.

I wasn't blaming the writer. Was just curious who wrote it. Who story-boarded it and directed it are to blame. The writing was actually quite good.

Sloppy direction, sloppy soundtrack (great songs, though!). Sloppy art, decent animation, not enough choreography (as usual). That said, it was an average episode. Didn’t like this one, but didn’t absolutely hate it. Nothing happened except more Mary Sue action. No real choreography except some reused stuff. The tag team with Kale was nice. The best part was that Goku seemed to be getting stronger as he fought and that his base was stronger than Caulifla’s SS2...

4.5/5. Excellent fights, animation, and story boarding, though a bit of a tease with Toppo. Some...interesting power scaling as well.

If the average quality was at least as good as this episode for the rest of the show I'd be one happy camper.

I'm not sure why people even think Super is ending with the EoZ. I have yet to see a single piece of evidence to support that conjecture. DB is a billion dollar industry with a fresh, passionate young mangaka who was appointed for a reason. Super isn't going anywhere.
