I get what he was saying, but I strongly disagree.

Re: Gohan's scream in 9 different languages
The whole point of the monologue was that he let him die, and that he shouldn't just sit there and watch Cell kill everyone. Hell, those were the last lines! "I let you die. I can't do that! I won't watch this anymore!" Gohan was about to snap and lose himself in white hot rage. You know ...

Re: Gohan's scream in 9 different languages
I love how the English version is the only version with Gohan's unecessary inner monologue about how 16 loved life (which he just finished saying before he got smashed). And the only version that doesn't use some form of Spirit vs Spirit. And is probably the worst version. The Japanese version is t...

Re: I finally understand the Sub fans
Another sub fan? Can't say I blame you. Even though Kai's dub is good and all, the FUNi cast will never beat the Japanese Z dub. It's kind of funny, me and my cousin watched the old Ginyu episodes from the first DVD release from 2000 today. .... God was it painful. I can't believe how awful everyone...

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
Schemmel's Goku was okay this time around. I retract my 1999 comment...for now. Still it's sad someone as minor as Nail is much better suited for the man than a character he's been playing since episode 1. *Sigh* What a pity. Freeza on the hand... man oh man is he good. Orgasmically good (Okay that ...

Stupid Dialogue Alerts. Such as bad jokes and puns. (In hindsight slip ups could be considered SDAs I suppose.)

Re: If Gohan kept training....
He would probably be more powerful than Goku and Vegeta in their SSJ2 forms. His attitude would maybe be a mix of athlete but still mostly nerd at heart. Also yes, everyone and their mother would dig this new Gohan.

Re: Future Kai DUB Re-casts speculation
I admit I haven't heard Willingham's Cell except a small audio clip of him doing it a con. Travis Willingham is one of the best VA's they got at FUNimation so I have high hopes. I wonder if he'll imitate Clark's Cell or will he go for the Wakamoto approach?

http://www.behindthevoiceactors.com/voice-compare/Superman/Superman/ Which Superman is Sean channeling again? You've got to be specific I didn't hear any superhero in him, but maybe that's because I watched Batman: TAS, Superman: TAS, JL, JLU, Batman Beyond, Superfriends, Superman (1940s), Batman (...

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
While I've never actually come to a conclusion whether I agree with the "Superman Voice" argument, it seems pretty clear what they're insinuating. No one is saying that Sean Schemmel is attempting to imitate any particular Superman actor or voice actor. Or even Superman himself. What they...

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
I guess I'll rewatch the first half of the episode later tonight. Why the first half? That's where I hear season 3 Superman Goku slipping back in. Schemmel has been doing better lately, but as soon as the episode began (especially after Reccome's demise) I notice a certain someone slipping back into...
Oh is that what that is? I've seen a character who uses 3 swords, one in his mouth, popping up in various media, even before One Piece existed. Tenchu is such an example. I still don't know what it is based on, but using a sword in your mouth sounds... impractical, to say the least.
[...

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
My favorite parts of the original dub were the constant yelling Goku was doing while Ginyu had him in an arm lock along with Goku saying "strong power!", and when Vegeta ran off and Goku said "AAAAAAAAhhhh-Naaaaaaaoooooouuuuuu!!!!!" I kept laughing during this Kai episode joking...

Re: "DragonBall Z Kai" TV Broadcast Talkback
I'm not so sure about this Ginyu's voice. On the one hand, he sounds very "drill sergeant" which sort of fits, but sometimes he does this thing with his voice where it's very strained and painful sounding. I could go either way on this voice. Jeice just sounds laughably bad, like this is ...
