Re: Anybody know anything about the Filipino English dub?
Those speedy VCDs are ocean dub bootlegs, AFAIK Speedy only dubbed the first 3 DB films and the first 13 DBZ films. The Saban dub skipped the Gohan and the robot episode. So what is this? http://m.ebay.com/itm/Dragon-Ball-Z-5-Video-CD-Sorry-Mr-Robot-Dont-Cry-Gohan-Speedy-Dub-Anime-VCD-/221608012625...

Re: Anybody know anything about the Filipino English dub?
I managed to get a copy of movie 6, however it's very low quality but it's better than nothing. I still haven't got round to watching it but I think the actings fairly decent, here's a clip I uploaded: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kN9MHxpjxhk I love the songs made for this dub, even zenkai power...

Re: In honor of broadcasters that censored the show
While the English version of the Harmony Gold dub is unavailable on the internet (not counting movies 1 and 3 and a small clip of episode 1 from Kei17), Mexican Spanish versions of the HG dub of 2,3, and 4 (and, arguably of lesser importance, several post HG episodes with name changes intact) can b...

I don't mind them, some are good looking, however there are issues with them and a new HD transfer would've been more interesting than a re-release of FUNi's blurays.Enigmo wrote:still don't get what's to hate about the funi blurays of the movies

Re: Better Sound Quality on Original Run of DBZ in Japan
-snip- Kei has shared various bits and pieces of the broadcast audio (episode 95 in it's entirety, bits and pieces elsewhere) when he has no real obligation to. If I'm correct in saying copyright laws in Japan are a lot stricter meaning sharing the entire series would be a lot more dangerous. It is...

Re: Better Sound Quality on Original Run of DBZ in Japan
i dont think kei is a selfish person to not share these thing that he had with help.... it is not a hard work question because he can have the only one episode in broadcast audio....if no official release will exist it was very very hating thing to talk about things that no other can have....what i...

Re: Creative Product Corp Dub on VHS?
I regret that I don't have a clip to share with you, but I can confirm that this dub does indeed exist. I have seen a clip of their DBZ dub (of the TV series, I mean) on YouTube, but it has since been deleted. I'm really sad no one has a single clip from the TV show dub. It's a dub I'm really inter...

Re: Is (the H-word)/Mr Satan unethical?
Mr Satan gives the Earth hope during a crisis, helps reduce mass panic. The Z-Fighters don't care for publicity while Mr. Satan loves it so if anything he is doing them a favour.

Re: Did the Dragon Boxes ever release in Europe?
German fans are definitely very fond of their original cast, and Morgenstern in particular. As I briefly mentioned earlier, the German dub of Kai , handled by a company called Kaze, was not able to afford 98% of the original cast, and they looked even worse than they normally might because literall...

Re: Why was the Westwood dub so bad? (Original by tvfan721)
I honestly like the westwood dub quite a lot, maybe I'm biased because I like the Ocean Actors. While I like the soundtrack it does get pretty repetitive; I feel like that's what brings down the dub the most, imagine if it was with the kikuchi score instead like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

I watched up to episode 5 and just dropped due to loss of interest in the rehashed story. I'll probably watch any new stuff but for now nah.

......Another.......English.......dub? MUST......SEE! Seriously though, I think the English language holds the world record for "most dubs of Dragon Ball animes." For Dragon Ball you got the FUNimation dub, the Blue Water Dub, the ocean dub for the first 13 episodes, the phillipines dub a...

Re: How accurate is the original "Dragon Ball" English dub?
Blue Water's English Dragon Ball dub - despite the horrible acting - was more accurate overall. On that dub stuff like "Tri-Beam" and "Flying Nimbus" are substituted with less cringeworthy terms which resemble the Japanese ones. It's true that the Blue Water dub does use more Ja...

Yeah I don't think I'd notice how bad it was if it wasn't for the fact it was a constantly repeating gif.ParkerAL wrote:All very true, but it also lasts less than four seconds.VintageSaiyan wrote:Maybe not, but its pretty fucking bad. It's stiff, uninspired, and lazy.
