So then you would contend that Piccolo is pure evil? And if so, then how do you explain that he was a good guy for almost the entire story? He WAS pure evil, but Gohan changed him. Come on, look at Piccolo's Jr. personality at the end of db, it's more like his fathers personality than his Freeza/Ce...

Yes, they are the same. It's stated that Piccolo(the new one) and Kamisama were one long ago. So Piccolo still is Kamisama's evil side. Also... Piccolo has his father's memories(stated) and his soul(he's stated to be the reencarnation of King Piccolo)... so... the only difference between them is Pi...

Piccolo Daimao- = Piccolo jr.(who had all his memories) Therefore he DID become good. Piccolo Daimaou was pure evil, though. Ma Junior wasn't. If we were dealing with the original Piccolo Daimaou, then I would say that maybe he could have swallowed his pride long enough for an alliance with Goku ag...

After being defeated by Goku, Freeza would never be able to ally with the Z Senshi. His hatred of Goku would have overcome his rationality. I'll agree that Taopaipai or Tsurusennin would both be candidates; so would Babidi. I also think Pilaf could have learned to accept a truce if it were in his be...

Look, he's 9 during the Cell saga. Toriyama states he is 16 at the beginning of the Saiyaman arc. 7 years between Cell and Boo. 16-7=9 :P But Toriyama _doesn't_ state how old he is during the Cell Game, as far as I know. However, dates are given for a number of different things in the Daizenshuu, a...

I say he was 9 or 10. The numbers add up to 10 (or possibly a little under 10, since it was only eight months between Nameck's explosion and Nameckians leaving Earth). But he is referred to as being 16 when he starts high school in the manga, and the battle with Cell was seven years ago. The only w...

Do you mean 757? Just using logic, here. It doesn't work right with your other numbers.
Yeah, 757. Typo.

Gohan was, in fact, eleven years old at the Cell Game. Born 11 May 757. Four years old when Raditz arrives (12 October 761). Five years old when Vegeta and Nappa arrive (3 November 762). Still five upon return to Earth from Namek (24 December 762). Six years old when Tenshinhan and Chaouzu are reviv...

So where do you stand on the idea of being able to feel types of ki? Evil ki is obviously noticeable, so it's got to be more than just the strength. I thought it was Gohan who said it was Goku, which would make sense. Allthough individual characters such as Goku might have their own ki feel, Gohan ...

His cells are comprised of Goku & Co.'s, but Cell's ki is 100% his own. It is true that Cell has his own ki, but under certain circumstances, he manifests the ki signatures of other characters whose cells he inherited. There's quite a big deal made of this when he first appears; he powers up a ...

Supposedly, it's pretty gone for good. They keep getting nailed with DOS attacks over and over whenever it goes back up. We'll probably move over to whatever server all the fansub groups use, simply because it's nice and convenient... aniverse I believe does. Aniverse has a tendency to get hit by D...

With the death of MIRC-X, where has #daizenshuu relocated? Or has it found a new home yet?

Super Saiya-jin 3 was only really used in battle twice: once against fat Buu, once against Kid Buu. The first time, against fat Buu, Goku wasn't trying to win because he still had this idea in his head that those who are still alive should protect their own planet. He was just helping stall Buu long...

No, I feel it would still be "Jeikku", since if you've seen Cowboy Bebop, Spike's name which also ends with an "e" is pronounced "Supaiku". I think "cake" is closer in sound to "Jake" than is "Spike," though. "Jeeku" or "Jei...

Well, I'm by no means a Japanese expert, but I'll throw my two cents into the "Jake" discussion. Personally I would do it as "jeeki." Reasoning: "cake" in Japanese is "keeki."

Well yeah, I didn't mean that it was strange that he received help for his fansubbing purposes. Just, even after he said it, no one really seemed to notice. Conversation continued as usual as if nothing were amiss.

Not that it matters a damn bit anyway, since he's going to do what he wants, but I must say I'm a bit surprised that not a single person here seems to have thought anything of the fact that zzattack just told us all that he needs the lyrics to use in what appears to be a digisub (unless "AnimeH...

Christ, and people say Dragon Ball's plot is simplistic. Actually, I never saw the fourth timeline before, and for a while as I was reading this thread I had a lot of trouble wrapping my mind around the concept. But it all makes pretty good sense, actually. At least, I think it does, but let me just...

My best memories of the DBZ web community involve my own part in it. I remember being really excited the day Planet Namek decided to link my site, because I felt like I might really be getting somewhere. That feeling was boosted shortly thereafter when Meri E-mailed my friend who worked on the site ...
