In Japan, none of the "Budokai" games were ever called "Budokai." They were just "Dragon Ball Z," "Dragon Ball Z 2," and "Dragon Ball Z 3." The Budokai series is an English name slapped onto the games. With the name "Budokai" added to it, n...

Heheh, the one MajinMetroid did made me chuckle.

For some reason, that screencap looks freakin' awesome.

The worst part about all those filler episodes is that it makes you think that they're finally there, when in reality they're far from it. And you know you have plenty more episodes until the real action with Freeza starts.

Yeah, there's a way to make 'em work in Firefox, but you need to install some plugin. Mine didn't come with that plugin and I'm too lazy to install it. I just use IE.

Don't worry. Many responses are ignored. People just post to answer the question or add something to the discussion, even if what they post has already been posted.

I love those ytmnd's. Too bad they only work in Internet Explorer. We Firefox users have to either open them in IE or do some plugin installing or whatnot to make 'em work.

Learning Japanese on your own is hard. At least, it was for me, which is why I gave up. Your best bet, as already mentioned, is to get a book or lessons or something and study from there.

I thought it was already agreed upon that Budokai Tenkaichi was a continuation of the Budokai series. After all, it does have the name incorrectly placed to show it's relevance.

Well, if you go back a few pages (I think around page 4 or 5), I posted a few pages of my manga, which is about Trunks's timeline where Son Goku beats Freeza on Earth. I didn't really continue it, but what I posted there shows a little bit of what happened after Namek exploded. Maybe later, when I h...

Sorry, I don't really know Japanese. But I can read it, and as an owner of a tankoubon and kanzenban collection, I think I might help. I can read a few lines of Japanese in Dragon Ball. Since it was aimed at younger children, I'm guessing the Japanese won't be too difficult. But the only things I ca...

Yeah, that Budokai placement bugs me. I think Sparking!'s a better name personally, but it doesn't really make sense to an English audience. But I think Tenkaichi Budokai would've made sense and still continued the Budokai series.

I wouldn't mind movie reviews. I don't really watch the anime, but after reading some reviews I might get interested. After all, this is the only Dragon Ball website I visit nowadays.

One of the reasons why I don't like anime is because of the voice acting. It just doesn't fit. The expressions, laughs, cries, etc all seem out of place and dragged on. But with manga, it looks good since it's just still frames. The majority of anime that I do watch have character's whose dub voices...

I'm guessing that you keep your body if you get blown up. Other than that, you're gonna end up being a puffy white cloud unless you're an important character. Important character's are always the exception to the rules.

I view it the same way as the many differnet versions of superhero series. There's tons of different Batman comic series, novels, TV shows, movies, etc. They're all based on one primary story, but the plots differ so they don't take place in the same storyline.

This brings back yet another plot-hole-ish question. Son Goku had to have his body taken up with him to train, yet the others didn't. So really, there was no point in having Goku's body reunited with his soul (which would usually mean being brought back to life  ). I'm guessing it's something t...

On the topic of the redub, did anyone else notice how they pronounced "Namekian"? I haven't watched the original dub since they aired it on Cartoon Network about 7 years ago or so, so I'm a bit fuzzy...but I'm pretty sure they pronounced it "Namek-an." Now they're pronouncing it ...

In Dragon Ball, it shows Kuririn, Roshi, and all of them coming out of those capsule things, if that's what you're talking about. As for DBZ, it's been pretty much explained already. Son Goku's body was taken up to join him in the afterlife, Shenron wasn't powerful enough to bring him back, the othe...
