Re: "Raging Blast 2" Gigantic On-Going Gaming Discussion
Dear Akira Toriyama, We at Spike believe that you should seek medical help concerning your possible Alzheimer's. To address your letter though, you don't speak English. I will ignore this fact and look at your specific concerns, because we here at Spike like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt...

Re: Favourite Podcast Episodes?
(I think we all get progressively better at doing the show as time goes on, though, so I can't necessarily recommend anything in the first twenty episodes, for example...). You may not be able to, but I recommend episode #7, where the name puns from the 13 movies are covered. It has always been my ...

Re: Starting to Learn the Way of the Japanese
If you're looking to learn Japanese as a second language, my honest advice to you would be: don't. Learn Spanish. It's spoken in over ten countries, as opposed to Japanese's one. It would be much more useful to in the real word. Plus, it's easier. Mostly due to the sheer amount of cognates between ...

Re: Starting to Learn the Way of the Japanese
The Japanese people live in Japan (or "Nihon", for the more advanced). They speak Japanese ("Nihongo"). They Eat KFC on Christmas and think cats are super "kawaii".

As far as the accent thing goes; American English is spoken from nearer the front of the mouth than most others, which tend to be spoken from farther back in the throat.

Re: Where are the "Dragon Ball" Fuji "Specials" located?...
I have ALL of them. I keep them stored on the original 35mm masters in the cold storage room of my house. I GUESS you can see them. But I'll have to ask Toriyama-kun (I can call him that because we are bestest friends). I'll ask as soon as I get done watching AF for the bajillionth time.

And as f or Toriyama appro ving it, I'll approve anything if yo u give me enough money . I'll give you the ok to burn down my house if you offer me a million dollars. -I don't think that's how it was made out to be. That's really negative to be talking like that don't you think? Re: Is GT REALLY Non-Canon?
A dream? That's very nice to point out.. Perhaps that could work? .. The problem I'm facing, is figuring out what Akira Toriyama meant by "Side-Story.." Here's his exact quote: "DragonBall GT is a grand side-story of the original DragonBall, and it'll make me happy for us to watch an...

Re: Is GT REALLY Non-Canon?
I kinda just think of GT like another series of Dragonball. While the manga was all one series, GT is like a new series, like a new Power Rangers or the newer Yugioh series. It's not part of the DB manga, but the manga is part of GT. Does anyone get what I'm saying? I like the comparison to Power R...

Re: Is GT REALLY Non-Canon?
GT is about as canon to Dragonball as "Romeo + Juliet" is to the Shakespearean canon.

Re: Is GT REALLY Non-Canon?
Simple. Answer: It's " Canon " to the " Anime ," and " Non-Canon " to the " Manga ." It can't be broken down any further, .... It pretty much comes down to: You choosing what you want. Are you a person who wants to go by a book? Or do you feel that the story ...

Re: Is GT REALLY Non-Canon?
I don't take GT or DBO as canon. Just because Toriyama said he thought of GT as a side-story doesn't mean it's suddenly a canon continuation of his manga. In both GT and DBO, he never wrote it, all he did was approve it and provide character designs and stuff. Most people take GT as non-canon becau...

That is what it LITERALLY said in the French, but as I understand it, "n'est pas tout blanc" is an expression that means something like being a bit unhinged or not being white bread.dbgtFO wrote:"Vegetto also isn't totally white!" Sounds like some sort of translation mistake to me

Re: Does there exist Dragon Ball compressed?
Yes. This mythical thing DOES exist, and it's official. It is the most official of all Dragonball products. It's called the "manga". It isn't "fan created" though  Not Dragon Ball Z The Abridged Series created for humor, but a fan created series of shortened Dragon Ball (i...
