Re: Question about Tree of Might Edited Ocean Dub

He's not wrong. They did add scenes. Remember that the movie was first dubbed and presented as three episodes of the television series. It was too short to accomplish that as it was, so they added in extra footage of Shenlong being summoned (from Dragon Ball episode 12, I believe, or possibly the e...

Re: Question about Tree of Might Edited Ocean Dub

I want to put the Ocean Dub Tree of Might audio (with Shuki Levy score) to the Dragon Box Movie video. If I remove all the obvious stuff like the Standby intro and the English OP and the Title Card and insert the Japanese OP in place of them, are there any edits for time that would prevent me from ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z - Did You Know Voice Acting?

I had no idea Dragon Ball was dubbed back in the 80s, and am now on the search for it! ;) Godspeed to you. If it existed, it'd be somewhere readily available. I did find one of the movies on YouTube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZtzZj3mgX4 Ecio from Kametsu.com did this version. I recognize tha...

Re: Question about different versions of Makafushigi Adventu

Well that would result in a drop in quality, which is what I'm looking for. I have access to the R2J Dragon Boxes, but as we all know the quality of the old film reel audio used for the mono track on that release is crackly and artifacted to hell. I would rather use something like a CD version of th...

Re: Question about different versions of Makafushigi Adventu

That's what I was afraid of. Thanks for clarifying it for me. I'll probably have to resort to using Dragon Box audio.

Question about different versions of Makafushigi Adventure

I'm using a CD copy of Makafushigi Adventure (TV Size) from the 1994 5-disc Great Complete Collection for a project of mine, but the version found on here doesn't include the gong sound at the beginning, much like the version of Cha-La-Head-Cha-La found here doesn't use that woosh sound effect at th...

Re: Your Perfect DBZ Release

I wish Funimation would continue their nostalgia cash-ins (a la Rock the Dragon) with a "Toonami" Version, a.k.a. the original dub with Dale Kelly, Mark Britten, etc. complete with the missing Ginyu Saga recaps that didn't match the original uncut recap footage, all missing NEPs that are o...

Re: All-purpose Dragon Ball sale/trade thread.

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but does anybody have any of those rare Speedy Video VCDs of DB Movies 1-3 or DBZ Movies 11 and 13? Willing to buy any of those.

Re: Info on the Thinpak Movie Collections

I know that, but when I read the word "broadcast" in the title, I thought it might have been edited for dialogue or something similar. It doesn't even have the 5.1 track for these four movies, just this stereo "broadcast" track.

Info on the Thinpak Movie Collections

I have purchased the Thinpak Movie Collections 1-3 and on the first one in the bottom left corner where it lists the different audio tracks available it says that it includes a "US Broadcast Version Stereo" track for movies 1-4. I'm pretty knowledgeable about the series itself in terms of ...
