Re: Any celebrities that like Dragon Ball?

RZA is definitely "A-list" if you're into rap.

Anyway, someone said the Rock is a fan. I need this to be true.

Re: What the hell is the Virtual Triangle album?

WIkipedia tells me it's one of the Hit Song Collections CDs.

It still amazes me how much DBZ music was released in Japan.

Re: What's the difference between the dbz orange bricks and the

YES, the colors and cropping are A LOT better than the orange bricks. They're currently on Amazon for 25+ each so I'd wait till the end of the year to get them cause last year they went down to 15$ a piece. Thanks for the info. I might just do that. I live in Australia, and anime over here is ridic...

Re: What's the difference between the dbz orange bricks and the

For a first time buyer I'd definitely recommend the Blu rays over the Orange Bricks but for someone that already owns the latter as well as the Dragon Boxes there really is no point. You're already set. I only own one of the DBoxes, for collection's sake. The fact that they don't have the dub music...

Re: What's the difference between the dbz orange bricks and the

Sorry to VegettoEX if this is off-topic, but I'd just like to get people's opinions as to whether the blu-rays are worth my time if I already own the orange bricks (and one Dragon Box lol). I wasn't really paying attention when they came out, and I hear the level sets (which I already have) are bett...

Re: What did you guys actually think of the heavy metal music in the DBZ movies in the 2000s?

I dunno, I don't think it was that out of place in the first Broly movie at least. The music is quite serious in tone, and the whole movie was basically Broly punching people through buildings, which seems to kind of vibe with aggressive rock music. Correct me if I'm wrong, but early 2000's rock mus...

Re: Anyone interested in discussing the social issues of DB?

Regarding the rather crude sexual humour that happens early on in the series, is the concern that children will copy what they see/think it's normal? I would agree that it's definitely a possiblity, and I don't think I'd show that part of the series to my children. Sensibilities have without a doubt...

Re: Black Goku Backlash!!?

No one in DB is African because DB has no Africa. Not in the literal sense, but there are characters who are clearly have African features. In the same way that Upa, Namu, Oob, etc. have certain features, as people already mentioned. DB is multicultural, this is a good thing, this should be celebra...

Art definitely is subjective, but at the same time there are opinions that are too dumb to engage with and debate.

Re: Dragon Ball gets some love at Wrestlemania, AGAIN!

Watching it live (which I had to get up early to do, because of where I live) and seeing them come out of the cereal box dressed like that is probably the greatest thrill of 2016 so far.

Re: The Funimation dub of Dragon Ball is absolutely marvello

Great dubbed opening and ending songs, great narrator (who sounds like the Japanese one and not a wrestling announcer), and great Goku VA. Script inconsistencies and jokes that got lost in translation aside, it's miles ahead of DBZ.

Re: Who is your least favorite Dragon Ball composer?

I'm going with Menza too. Just too much guitar. Don't get me wrong; he's a great player, but this is a 60+ episode series, not a movie (where it kinda worked in the case of the first Broly movie). Don't really remember much of the Nathan Johnson score, apart from that cool outro song. He composed th...

Haha, I love some of these tracks. I am literally obsessed with rap music. Have you heard Chrono Jigga? Someone definitely needs to do that for DBZ.

Re: Top 5 favorite themes from all the versions of DBZ?

Man, these lists are great. Really have to do some listening. It would really only be Z original and Faulconer. Both original and dub GT are pretty nondescript, aren't they? Then there's Yamamoto's plagiarism. Haven't heard much of the new stuff. Do video games count? Is Solid State Scouter too much...

Re: Biggest exageration by fans?

I mean you don't really see him teaching Gohan about life Should there have been a filler episode where Goku teaches Gohan about the birds and the bees? I really don't get this. I mean, yeah, for Goten, it was like, "We need more Super Saiyans". But Goku and Chichi were both around for Go...
