Re: I give up, I'm just going to watch this for fun
I've been watching Super "just for fun" since day one. I know Super has it's problems like bad art, Goku being an idiot(he's always been an idiot but Super really exaggerated this), Sumitomo's score, etc but besides this I do enjoy it unlike GT which I find very boring. I'll watch Super as...

Re: LATIN AMERICAN DUB CONFIRMED (Brenda Nava Confirmed as translator!)
Yeah, we got everybody back then, now we have to wait until June/July to get news about in which TV channel it is airing, the best we can ask right now is Fox, but who knows? What about Mario Sauret? Did Lalo said he wanted him back for Boo and Ox Satan, or will he keep Marcos Patiño and Enrique Ce...

Re: LATIN AMERICAN DUB CONFIRMED (Brenda Nava Confirmed as translator!)
And yes, Carlos Segundo is confirmed too, only Luis Alfonso Mendoza is missing but I don't know if we will receive news from him anytime soon, he isn't very active on Twitter so only Lalo will tell us, most likely he is already working just like Laura Torres (the last news we got from her is that s...

Re: Has Dr Slump (anime and/or manga) been released in any countries outside of Japan?
Both Dr.Slump and New Dr.Slump were dubbed in Spanish for Latin America. The scripts were translated by Brenda Nava who was also the translator of the Dragon Ball franchise. I'm not 100% sure if the manga is available Latin Spanish, but it probably is. Maybe someone from Latin America will now. I va...

Re: Where's the "U" in "Krilin"... klirin... hum?
As far as I know, though I'm not completely sure, FUNi had poorly translated Engrish scripts from Toei.UltimateHammerBro wrote:I doubt this too. Didn't they mention that they had Engrish scripts to use as a base?

Re: LATIN AMERICAN DUB CONFIRMED (Brenda Nava Confirmed as translator!)
Lalo's twitter. He just uploaded a photo with Carlos Segundo and Laura Torres, and now deleted it and posted it again but this time he cut the faces to make us guess who that is, so I will take that as a confirmation of Carlos Segundo (?. I guess it could be a confirmation. But we won't be sure sur...

Re: Where's the "U" in "Krilin"... klirin... hum?
Maybe the fact that Funimation used the Latinamerican Spanish translation of the original Japanese script. In Latinamerica, Kuririn is known as Krilin. Is there any evidence showing that FUNimation scripts were actually translated from Latin American scripts? We know that FUNi did use LatAm footage...

Re: DBZ Fandom and casting Youtube personalities on its dubs.
There are tons of live-actors in American cartoons, so I'm not sure why Mexico wouldnt use them in their own, dubs included if the budget were sufficient. Mexico and Latin America do use Startalents( the Latin American equivalent of U.S. celebrity voice actors) in their dubs, but the majority of th...

Re: Your Dream DB Collection
If it's a dream collection why not go all out? Every Dragonball merchandise ever made neatly arranged into a dedicated room.. Honestly, all I want is a complete home release of the Latin American Dbz dub. It doesn't even have to be a Blu-ray release. Just all 291 episodes on DVD. That shouldn't be ...

Re: Dragon Ball Z will return to Paraguay on Telefuturo (On Weekends)
I'm extremely sorry for the All Caps but I was so happy! This is terrific news! As for the video I dont know yet. Would you still watched it if it turns out to be FUNi's Blu-rays? I ask because I stop watching Dbz on Canal 5 when they started showing the "New HD Remastered version". Like ...

Re: LATIN AMERICAN DUB CONFIRMED (Brenda Nava Confirmed as translator!)
Nop, she is confirmed or almost confirmed, and she worked in FnF, she did a minor character. What comes to my mind is Mr. Satan, Lalo said the character was a little important and the client prefered the Kai voice to the original, so he is the only one I can think of. You probably right. I haven't ...

Re: LATIN AMERICAN DUB CONFIRMED (Brenda Nava Confirmed as translator!)
Only Kai 1.0 used Funimation's script, FInal Chapters, BoG, Resurrection F and Super come directly from the original version. Both the Final chapters and Battle of Gods used English scripts. I'm not sure if they were FUNi's scripts, but they were definitely scripts in English. Maybe they were Engli...

Re: LATIN AMERICAN DUB CONFIRMED (Brenda Nava Confirmed as translator!)
No. There's no way TOEI would replace them. People would revolt in Latin America. I'm pretty sure they're still negotiating.Nekis13 wrote:Should we be worried about Rene Garcia and Carlos Segundo not being confirmed yet...?

Re: LATIN AMERICAN DUB CONFIRMED (Brenda Nava Confirmed as translator!)
Fans of the Latin American dub, me included, are very excited that Brenda is back because this means that Super will have a very faithful script. This also means that Super won't be translated using FUNi's scripts like Dbz Kai, Battle of Gods and The Final Chapters which weren't that good. TFC hasn...

YES! YES! YES! YES! I cant wait for the dub! http://www.anmtvla.com/2017/02/dragon-ball-super-se-confirma-brenda.html Is Brenda Nava special? She's a really good translator. Her translations tend to be very faithful but not excessively literal. She translated the majority of Dragon Ball, except or ...
