Re: Kameha-con 2018!!
Yes! I’m so glad Kelamis is back on! I’d like to think that that was the fans’ doing. We spoke, and they listened... maybe

Re: Kameha-con 2018!!
Out of all the actors on the guest list, Kelamis was the one I was most excited about meeting. In fact, it was the moment I saw him and Drummond on the list that I decided I was going to make the drive from San Antonio to be at the convention. I’ve met Funi actors at other cons before, but here I wa...

Re: Dragonball with surround sound
I recently bought my first surround sound system, and watching Dragon Ball is now leaps and bounds above what it was when I just had a sound bar. Not that the surround sound is what made the difference, as others have said on this post already, but rather the subwoofer. That alone has added so much ...

Re: Filler Material
With the exception of fake Namek, and Mr. Satan’s lackeys fighting in the Cell Games, I pretty much enjoy all of it. My favorites are the one with Konkichi, Goku meeting Roshi in the past, Gohan and the Orphans, and the Krillin and Maron break up.

Re: A critical ranking of 39 Dragon Ball games: Celebrating FighterZ's success!
I’m surprised to see Origins so far up! I always felt like that game was way underrated. I don’t know about the first Budokai being as low as it is. That game was pretty flawless for what it was, and ushered in a whole new legion of Dragon Ball fans.

Re: Do you still play any Dragon Ball game besides FighterZ?
I play through the first Budokai game every now and again, when I get nostalgic. Probably every couple o’ years or so... I do the same with Tenkaichi 2, albeit a little less often. The thing is, aside from Extreme Butoden, those are the only DBZ games I own. I don’t have any interest in purchasing a...

Re: Preference of Art Style?
I’ve got to go with the art style that was used from Piccolo through the Saiyan arc. There’s something about the fact that it’s still cartoony and innocent looking, while the subject matter of the story gets darker and much more serious around this time.

Re: How much would you pay for the complete series of GT?
I recently picked it up at a Wal Mart for $19.99 Now, having said that, how much WOULD I spend on it? I probably wouldn’t have picked it up, had it been any more than $30. GT wasn’t an essential part of my collection, but when I saw the whole series wrapped up in a nice little package for $20 I thou...

Re: Garlic Jr saga pros and cons
I personally love the Garlic Jr. saga. A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that Dead Zone was my favorite movie for the longest time. I’m really glad they chose to write 10 episodes of filler for Garlic Jr. (imagine if they ultimately decided to do the “Dr. Wheelo” Saga  ) The only gr...

Missed Opportunity for Backstory
As I rewatch the entire series for the umpteenth time, I’ve realized that there is a point towards the end of the Frieza arc where the writers (if not AT then, at the very least, someone in charge of writing filler) could have incorporated some Kami/Piccolo backstory. When the surviving Nameks are b...

Re: DBZ Blu-ray Orange Bricks are here to stay - "This is truly the best possible way to watch Dragon Ball Z"
It’s a shame that Funimation hasn’t gone the Manufacture-On-Demand route that a lot of other companies have gone, particularly in the field of cartoons on home video. Just to give us some of the things that we want, like in my case an affordable copy of Rock the Dragon, or in other peoples’ Cases, f...

Re: DBZ Blu-ray Orange Bricks are here to stay - "This is truly the best possible way to watch Dragon Ball Z"
While I don’t agree that the season blu rays are the best way to watch the show, I also don’t think they’re awful by any means. I have them all, alongside a complete collection of the FUNi singles. I find myself watching the blu rays for seasons 1 and 2, obviously because I wouldn’t be able to watch...

Re: Demon King Piccolo appreciation
King Piccolo arc is definitely my favorite in the entirety of the franchise. I feel like every time I rewatch the show, I find myself the most invested and interested during this arc. The pacing is superb and all the juicy back story you learn from Roshi is fantastic.

Re: Couldn't FUNimation have reused Faulconers music for the first 67 episodes?
As much as I love the Faulconer score, I honestly wouldn’t change a thing about the first 67 episodes. The Nathan Johnson score was perfect, especially when those episodes were being marketed as the Ultimate Uncut special edition. I remember DBZ uncut would air after dark and the soundtrack added to...

Re: But seriously, how did the Falcouner soundtrack even make it to air?
I find that to be pure BS. Just like adults, kids love a story that pulls them in. They don't need something playing for every single second.
That’s exactly right, as a child my favorite thing about DBZ right off the bat was the fact that it was a serial. Every other cartoon was epis...

You’re definitely not alone on that! That’s probably my favorite, however it’s a toss up between that and Garlic Jr’s lair in Dead Zone

Re: If these voice actors were to voice a single Dragon Ball character each, who would they be?
Mark Hamill sounds like an old man now, so it'd be kind of amusing if he played guys like Muten Roshi or Tao Pai Pai. Belmond would be a bit too easy. But he barely does anything, so I think it's kind of a waste. Freeza would work pretty well too. I love the idea of Mark Hamill as Tao! That would b...

This is my approach as well. I’ve watched everything from Pilaf to Buu 4 Times now, currently working on the 5th. I’m about 25 episodes into “Z”sintzu wrote:I never watch separate arcs so when I watch DB I start from the beginning up till the end of the Buu arc.
