Disappearing Avvies?
Every once in a while, some people's avatars on the board just disappear. It's nothing big, but it does get kinda annoying after a while, since I tend to connect the avvy with the user. Is anyone else having this problem?
10-30 minutes have most likely passed between my clicking to comment and actually posting. Curse my habit of thinking how to word my posts for too long!

You'll get used to it, Chibi G. Grasp the awesomeness that is The Adventures of Pete & Pete.
No, I've never experienced this problem. The only time I've seen avatars disappear is when they're pointed out to exceed the size restrictions.

Re: Disappearing Avvies?
In my case, I was trying to find a new avatar to put on, but deleted my old avatar prior to finding my new one. I gave up eventually, and never bothered to update my avatar. So, whoever wants to see my avatar again, I'm terribly sorry! I can safely bet that the others share the same situation as me.DaemonCorps wrote:Every once in a while, some people's avatars on the board just disappear. Also, if the site an avatar is linked from goes down, or deletes the file in question, or imposes hotlinking restrictions, the image will not show either (replaced by the 'Red X' or 'Question-Mark Box').

I deleted it. It exceeded the maximum allowed size of 80x80.Drunken Master wrote:Yeah, I can't see my awesome Ten sprite anymore.
Folks, your avatars aren't "not working". You either fucked up, or you both fucked up AND they were removed for exceeding the allowed size.
