DBZ: Ultimate Blast/Tenkaichi (Pre-Release Discussion)

My favorite is Tenkaichi 3's and Budokai 2's(it's so shinny!). I'd like to see another cover like BT3 because it had the whole cast of characters not just the Sayians. An allusion to the manga would be cool though.

Yeah I have that. Look how awesome it is. Their fierce looks are so cool. Really powerful cover and even Vegetto is on it.

I, for one, enjoy the covers similar to RB2's and BT3's, where it has the usual cast of characters on the box.
This cover is just...boring.

You must have hated the heavy rain cover art.

You sure those are real? It just seems like SSJ Goku from the Kanzenban cover in front of Shenlong. Not to mention the Bandai logo instead of Namco-Bandai.

I noticed that too, I'm pretty sure it's a fake but there is no doubt we'll see something close to that anyway.

The US RB2 cover used the normal bandai logo, so did other Bandai games such as the Clash of the Titans video game. The boxart is okay, nothing special. I hope that won't be the same cover for the US boxart.

I don't care for box-art as long as they hint to whats in the game, in which this does. Its not stunning or anything but I don't buy DBZ games for stunning cover art.

Take a look at Burst Limit's cover, it's just an image taken from the Daizenshuu.
I think the artwork is fuckin' awesome, and different from what we normally get. A big blown up Gokuu is always good if it's done well enough.

Eeeeeh, I really don't like that art. This shiny smooth color transitions are something used on kid's school stuff, like bags and pencil boxes. Maybe it's trying to simulate the Kanzenban cover art, but damn, it's quite few leagues under and it looks kinda amateurish or scampy.

This doesn't matter, but I just noticed that there's a lock/piece/strand/spike/or whatever of hair missing behind Goku's ear on the box art.

It also has a different coloring style and there are some other (minor) details that are different (like the right arm veins).
It looks like a redrawn version of the Kanzenban cover, with different coloring.

.. i dont really like the coloring style they do in so many dragonball related stuff at all in the last years ... the new cover is like the intro video of rb2 etc..

fresh and shiny, it should be more anime related, like the cover of RB2

Don't get me wrong, I love art, but it doesn't affect the game for me, or put me off in any way. I'm not quite sure what you guys are looking for...what would you like to see in cover art? Personally, I'd hope for something more along the lines of this...

The last good cover was Budokai Tenkaichi 2. And coincidentally that is the best game of the series. Same with Budokai 3.
