This as well as insert themes. And what makes this worth it is they mostly use top-tier vocalists from Hironobu Kageyama to Akira Kushida who specialize in anison to begin with.
That way the show has vocal songs it can truly call its own, unlike most other recent Shōnen or other anime where they just grab something off the pop radio shelf that they can’t even use within the show or actually call their own (not even sure I need to name any examples).
Kudos to Toei animation for keeping this convention alive in this way.
