We know a new arc is coming and the announcement mentions multi year deal for Super.
Cast are pretty much announcing themselves on social media haha.
Where does it say 72?
"inb4" means you're predicting something. Baggie_Saiyan isn't saying that it does say 72 episodes.
As mentioned, we know it won't be only 72 episodes. A new arc will be revealed in December, which means ending at 72 is impossible.
Oh, I thought he was saying that Funimation's site said 72 and he was getting a post in before people freaked out about it, explaining why "72" meant nothing.
And yeah, I know it's going well past 72, I'm super excited to see the announcement of the next arc in December.
It was only a matter of time before the dub went into production. I'm glad we've got confirmation that it's actually now happening.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

Congratulations for native english speakers, I would appreciate a lot if my country had announced a dub for Super too, even though I'm pretty attached with the original japanese voices
But shouldn't they use the "new" "international" logo for this announcement?
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.
I don't know which makes me happier, the fact that Funimation's dub was finally announced or the fact that Funimation is now simulcasting subbed episodes of Super.

Just wait until the Blu-Rays come out, you will get both options and in true HD.
Do you have any info about international non-English broadcasts about the Dragon Ball anime or manga translations/editions? Please message me. Researching for a future book with Dragon Ball scholar Derek Padula
On FUNimation's website, you can watch episodes 1-10 and 47-64 subbed in SD for free. I'm sure you could already do this somewhere else, but no account is required here. Thought that was worth mentioning.

No account is needed to watch the show on Crunchyroll or Daisuki either.
I'm a diehard English Dub fan and I'm estatic to finally have the Dub announced, but it's going to be so hard for me to not hear Nozawa as Goku Black, I wish she spoke fluent English and could reprise that one role. She killed it. I never liked the original Japanese dub, but watching Super subbed as long I have now I've kind of gotten used to it haha.

It's the most irrelevant thing on the planet. All the hype is around DBS, and most fans (a.k.a: the dub-only crowd) are perfectly fine with the current dub of the Boo Arc.
Boo Kai is coming, but don't expect a fuss to be made of it.

Kai has likely been caught up in a deal with Toonami this whole time. Kai 1.0 is almost done on Toonami and will likely be replaced with Buu Kai immediately, possibly without an announcement even.

Nah, the Buu arc is really in need of a redub imo, especially after watching the previous arcs in Kai, it's miles above Z. And I'd rather watch Kai than having to go back to Z when I get to the Buu arc. I just hope it's announced soon, and will be aired before Super starts.
