To be honest, I would've been far more comfortable and less irked about Dyspo being this strong had the show not have established his character as some pathetic weakling that was about to be munched up by that venus fly trap monster 18 episodes ago.

I don't think there's been no explanation so far as to how and why Goku used SSJG at this moment. But given that he can alternate between SSJG and SSJB, I'm guessing he could always use SSJG but never choose to.

It makes it all the more weird since he has had multiple situations where it would've been ideal.

They only mention it being quicker than his super saiyan form......... is it the same strength?

It isn't faster than Blue. Just faster than good old regular ssj without wasting as much energy as ssb would.

The tournament is a marathon, so they have to play it safe when they can.

That would have been the perfect thing to use against Hit in the U6 Tournament instead of the life threatening Kaioken. This has to be in Tori's outline because I don't see TOEI not dragging God back at an earlier date just for the sake of it.

What was the point of SSJG... Goku and Vegeta has been using SSJB like crazy this whole damn time unlike the manga where they make a big deal out of it.... and this ep just screams Toyotaro, we sure he wasnt the one that directed this? or at least the person that handled this ep took almost every aspect on how Goku fought in the manga, that was literally Vegeta's strategy when fighting Black, not to mention the sudden return of SSJG where they dont even mention why he hasnt used it before, just Whis' comment "faster than SSJ and uses less stamina than SSJB" good lord.

This might seem a little episode-specific, but I love the "random inconsequential things are happening" gag. Bulma hitting Oolong while cheering that one time, for example. And in Episode 104, Champa suddenly has a vuvuzela. Why? Because he does. It makes me laugh almost every time.

I also liked that we saw Kale and Caulifla hiding to regain their stamina, and also Caulifla being concerned for hit. Makes her seem less of a jerk.
