No one wanted 17 in first place after what GT did to him and then he turned out to be the best support character in the ToP.

Speak it for yourself I always liked 17 and Super 17 design was cool even though the arc was bad.

I think it's kinda funny how in Super even the one time we saw Gokû's bare chest so far he was censored.

The peanut gallery explaining things that are blatantly obvious used to bother me a lot, until I read that interview where Toei explained they write the show for children and don't care about their other demos. Actually, pretty much everything about the ToP bothered me until I read that.

Now I watch the show with much lower standards (and anger levels). Went from thinking they were intentionally wasting my time and insulting my intelligence, to realizing all the things that ticked me off were a result of them 1. Trying to hold the interest of kids with the attention span of a golden retriever, and 2. Needing to have characters waste valuable show-time explaining obvious things because the 9-year olds they're targeting may not understand.

I doubt the 'pointing out obvious things' thing is gonna stop, because of that. Actually it may intensify, since presumably more action will occur and they now have more people to write interactions for. The biggest reason it may intensify though, is that they still have 2 months and some change to fill 9(?) minutes of the tournament, and if everyone just fought non-interrupted, it would be over in two weeks.

So, yeah, get ready for more agony.

I wonder if this is a one-time thing or if Toe is going to carpet bomb us with images every week to hype up the last leg of the arc?

The thing I'm least looking forward to is the new ending. With a name like Lagrima it's a pretty good bet that it'll be a sadsack ending. The last two endings have both been melancholy too. Give us something peppy already, Toei, Future Trunks had Chahan Music and Yoka Yoka Dance.

I think they did this with 109-110 so it seems to be with big events which this is shaping up to be based on who's working on it and based on who's name is in the title.
