At least OP has had more creativity and soul to it than Dragon Ball has ever had. Don't watch it if you're not interested, simple as that. Don't ever compare OP to DB, they're similar in terms of Luffy and Goku but they're actually totally different from one another.

For what it's worth, now that the Doflamingo fight is over, the One Piece anime should have a bunch of mostly talky episodes ahead of it. That being the case, maybe they'll be able to free up some staff that have been working there to go work on other productions like Super?

Obviously more staff wouldn't help much with the stringent time constraints the series is currently under, but maybe it could at least result in some more experienced people doing the drawing for a few episodes?

I wonder about that. Son Goku's haircut has more creativity than anything Oda ever did.

And thank God for that! I would never be addicted to Dragon Ball for 20+ years, if it was like One Piece.
A world without Dragon Ball is just meh.

Can we not turn this into a silly One Piece vs Dragon Ball thread. They're both wildly different shows.

OP is my favourite series, but saying it has more creativity than DB ever had is  considering Oda based half his characters and fighting styles on DB.

Let's not turn the Animation Staff Disscussiom into a One Piece vs. Dragon Ball debate.

On the other hand.It seems i was wrong,Tate's episode will probably be the Hit vs. Goku fight.

There is a chance that the magazine got it wrong, like how it got the director wrong for 35, and looks like from the preview the supervisor wrong for the next episode.Tate could very well end up doing episode after 38

Kindaichi and World Trigger are ending, so from April Toei will have one less tv show, at least for now.

When is the next season of Sailor Moon Crystal happening? I know they're animating the Death Buster arc.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Was just reminiscing on some previous Shimanuki episodes, and was reminded of the giant faceplant that was the 25th episode. Hope to sweet jesus he's not paired up with Narimatsu or Tanoue again for 36.

I knew World Trigger was ending but I didn't know Kindaichi was as well. Hopefully Toei takes this chance to improve Super's schedule, considering it seems we're near the end of this arc an effort to improve the schedule and quality of the show could coincide with a new arc.

With Kindaichi ending it might mean Kakudou Hiroyuki will focus more on Dragon Ball Super. Then again, he could just as easily work on any other project at Toei Animation.

Anyone who watches one piece this is a question for you, is it true that one piece is going to go on some filler episodes because Doflmingo finally died the fight that has been going on for two years. If so then that should free up some key animators.

They aren't going to just leave...
They have to work on filler & the next arc.

When filler episodes are going on it frees up some key animators as those episodes do not require a lot of key animators or good key animators because of the nature of those episodes, so some key animators as a result are freed up and can work on other projects. Especially if the filler arc is long, they can send some of the good key animators to other projects to help them.
