I know It's waaay too late but since Ajay is asking about finding corrections, here I found this one long time ago but I just was to lazy to post it. So here it is...
Image
Edit: It's from episode 7

Interesting, so there are very minor corrections scattered about that we just didn't notice.

Apparently so!

One last thing: episode 42 has a very minor correction:

All of the other episodes on the set have now been checked. That's everything now, I believe.

Tempted to go back and double-check the other sets just to make sure I haven't missed anything else.

It'd be much easier if these Blu-rays were like games and had patch notes!

Those corrections are a great example of how awesome Shimanuki's line work is. His lines have a certain "dirtiness" to them that is reminiscent of old cel animation and gives a feeling of greater detail.

I'm going to double-check all the previous BD Box tonight. If someone want to help me, he can just tell me what episodes he is checking so we're not losing our time.
If i found something, i'll tweet to Ajay, so he'll let you know in his topic. :D

Looks like Shimanuki corrected his own episode. I wonder whether animation supervisors usually fix their own episodes for a Blu-Ray release, or if it's just a coincidece. On the other hand, Tate, along with episode 25's chief animation supervisor Takeo Ide, fixed some shots from Episode 25, which Shimanuki supervised, so perhaps they just ask some supervisor's who are currently available.

This probably sounds stupid, but where does "BD" come from? Isn't it "Blu-ray", thus "BR"?

Blu-ray Disc.

I guess it was meant to complement DVD (Digital Video Disc).

Yeah plus ray isn't supposed to count as a separate word. Maybe they thought not hyphenating people would read its as blurry lol

They're in Japan, most of them don't regularly use our roman letters. It's an understandable mistake.

Yeah, but they didn't misspell it on the sign just in front of the building.

The last episode of Golden Boy also explains how the animation industry in Japan works. It's very stressful environment that meeting a deadline is a mandate no matter how badly time extension they need to produce an episode. You should watch it to understand how Dragon Ball Super is under the flame despite pouring out quite a large amount of money into the series.

although there just minor corrections still makes the product seem completed. And that episode preview does make me excited, Zamasu with those rings looks like he's summoning Bahamut from Final Fantasy.

So episode 5 of Dragonball Super is like when in Shirobako, they gave Segawa only about a day to do key animation, and here they gave Tate like 10 minutes before the episode needed to be completed.

I hope this isn't too much to ask for, but could someone kindly turn this panning shot of Goku and Vegeta from #64 into one large image?

I got these screenshots from a YouTube video, so if you could find a higher quality source that'd be great. :)
I want to make a desktop wallpaper by combining that pan of Goku and Vegeta with the pan of Black and Zamasu from #56.

Something you guys might be interested in regarding Naotoshi Shida's animation style:

He tweeted a response to a guy asking about his animation style and how he developed it, and he responded saying that he basically doesn't reference anything in regards to movement (doesn't look at other animation or drawings), and has no martial arts experience. Instead he focuses on "rhythm" and "breathing"; he's conscious of breathing, in particular, while drawing.

It's pretty interesting reading that. Changed my perspective a little as I'd always had 'water' come to find when I think of his work. Everything flows with such distinct pulsating movement, almost like the tide coming in and out. It's interesting hearing the man himself comment on it.

I guess what I'd been thinking as 'water' was actually 'breathing'. Very cool.

Anyway, random tangent, but with a new scene from him coming up, I figured it was relevant.

Thanks to Herms to translating for me.
