Why does this movie need to retcon literally everyone's designs? I'm worried for Gogeta's looks now.
The Saiyan Armor is different now, even in the flashbacks (when it should have been the classic one). I don't know how to feel about all these changes happening all of a sudden.
At least young Paragus looks almost the same as in M8.

Vegeta's non-canon childhood bangs remain non-canon.
I'm curious if they'll expand on pre-Gokû Kakarrotto since he's older looking in Minus.
Nozawa's so good; I can tell her Bardock apart from her other voices without seeing him talk.
Those cgi spaceships though--oof.
Overall my mood's improved. Even if I'm not a Minus fan, this is how I prefer a trailer be directed compared to Trailer 1's everyone vs Brolli trailer.
I'm also happy I got to see this early because I have rl stuff to do right after the panel's over and this saved me some otherwise stressful crunch time.

Anyway the trailer was pretty much what I'd heard it was going to be, but it came off much nicer than I thought it'd look. I'm just glad we're off Earth some more, Freeza's design is also interesting, and I'm glad we're seeing more of King Cold.
Just to let ya'll know, this won't be the last trailer. There's going to be another one next month during Jump Anime Festa. That is most likely going to be the one with a shit ton of action with the main theme edited into it. While I love seeing the flashback scenes in this trailer, part of me wanted to see some more present day action. Gonna have to wait a bit more to see some of that. Still really like what I've seen so far!
I'm still baffled at what the point of this is. We've already seen seen all this. We know what happens. We've seen Freeza destroy planet Vegeta how many times now? We know Bardock rebels (unless that gets retconned ouf of the canon, which I honestly wouldn't doubt at this point). We know how Goku escapes from Minus. If the point is just to show Broly's new origin, then focus on him, not the past of the Saiyans for the umpteenth time when you're not providing anything new.
I'll be surprised if the movie doesn't hint at Cooler in some way, considering how popular the character is and how tied he is to Freeza's lore. I reckon he'll be mentioned indirectly and that will open up doors for him to appear in the main series. Because it's now or never, this would be the chance to canonize him.
And it seems they retconned Vegeta's age.

He starts to doubt of his achievements, Goku's body influences him to seek out challenges but there's nothing. Perfection becomes a curse. Absolute Zamasu starts to dread his existence and presents himself to the Omni-King, detailing on his actions.
Using his powers the Omni-King restores everything to the moment before Goku and Vegeta perish, humanity's last barrier. Zamasu concedes. He ask for forgiveness(mainly to Goku, Gowasu and Trunks) and understands that his justice isn't justice at all. He asks for judgement and the Omni-King delivers.
Trunks is forced never to travel in time ever again, all the time-machines are destroyed.

Honestly besides the direction and Takahashi art, I didn't like anything.
I thought Toriyama would only retcon Goku's past, Bardock, Broly and Paragus (as if that wasn't already enough), but seems like for some reason he decided to change Freeza base form color scheme just like he did with FT Trunks purple hair. Gogeta isn't safe either. All of these are unnecessary changes happening 20+ years later when we could just have I don't know, a new story.

Why you guys get so annoyed with insignificant aesthetical changes?
Some of you complaint about the franchise being stuck in the past but looks like you guys can't let go of the past either with wanting stuff to look how they looked time ago.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.
