Look at the eyes hanging around relaxedly falling below from the guy in the middle at the forefront..

Very similar to what Whis displays sometimes...

Whis is an Angel, opposite to a Devil.. A Demon. This guy also has some beard type near his chin (much like Dabura!)

What do their symbols mean? Anyone able to figure it out yet?

They display a big H as tag symbol, it can mean everything. Probably a name.
90% they are demons, they doesn't look like Bojack, they are practically updated version of Bojack crew...
(As for Whis eyes, that was most a design choice to underline his personality than an Angel trait, as others don't show them).

EDIT: I dunno japanese, but all of them have a fang collar and teeths is spelled HA.
So maybe they are the Fang Crew.

Toyotarou has mentioned that as far as he's concerned, pointed ears are generally just a mark of alien-ness.

While they might be something else, I'd say thinking of them as random aliens is as good a guess as any, at this stage.

Not really. They look more extraterrestrial.

DB's demons have been really toned down (Goz and Mez), so I doubt we'll see anything like what Devilman or Black Clover has.
