Looks like Toei Animation Europe accidentally uploaded a thumbnail for the big news that was supposed to be revealed on 09 May 2021: a new movie is coming out in 2022.

The article goes to a 404 page right now. It'll be interesting to see if this isn't just some asshole hosing fans or an actual announcement happens.

Personally hoping that this movie is a sequel to the previous movie and is about Broli, Cheelai and Lemo on a search for Baa. Then again, it'd also be cool if this movie was about Coola and Freeza trying to backstab one another for control over the empire. Well, whatever it is I'm sure I'll like it.

It's certainly possible! But I do have to wonder if they wouldn't just want to adapt it into a TV series because they can mine it for more episodes that way. Well, it'd be better off as a movie either way...but would Toriyama script it? Toriyama typically scripts his own storylines and it'd be a bit awkward if he scripted a film based on Toyo-tarou's story. Something tells me that to keep Toriyama as the script writer the production team would ask him to write his own film story.

The thing that bothers me about adapting the Moro arc is that not only was a super long arc, but on top of that, some parts of it feel like needed even more time, like Goku and Merus bonding of screen for example, and I don't see how they can fit everything on one movie, they'll have to cut something out or make a really long movie.

I don't think it will be a film adaption of Moro. If it does happen, I predict it will take place between the Granolah arc and the next story arc, and they will release it the same week that the Granolah arc ends. I'm hoping it involves Broly and the movie starts out with base UI Goku and Hakaishin Vegeta training with him.

Well, Moro Arc is mostly bad, but TOEI can make it worse story wise, so... If it is The Moro Movie, then let's hope it's 1:1 to manga. I've lost my faith in TOEI's writers.

BUT I hope it's something different. Best case scenario - Yamoshi's story WITHOUT boring and overused duo of Goku and Vegeta.

They hinted something about Broly some time ago, i hope he'll return in this movie!

Extremely anxious to see the staff list for this, considering the weekly output that One Piece and Dai Remake are having.

Chances are high that they will definitely try to get us with a Moro adaptation in the movie, which would be cool and all, though like many, I am ready for something completely new here. If anything, the movie could even be after the Granolah Arc as to where we get to see a little bit of after the End of Z perhaps and just make it an over all light hearted movie with some kind of cliffhanger which we could expect to be continued within the Manga as well as the Anime (if it ever comes back).

Now that, would be promising.

As for Cooler, though, how would that really fit? If we're to fit Cooler in, we'd have to change pretty much his entire origin as an explanation as to why he'd show up in the first place. Having him related to Freeza could definitely be a possibility, albeit the lack of mentioning in regards to him would have to be taken care of.

I mean, perhaps he was an outcast? Or maybe he's just one of the people from the clan who's decided to go ahead and try to make a rise to power. That'd be a more interesting storyline imo. And having it at the End of Z would be a nice chance to have the younger generation get involved with everything as well.

Cooler would be interesting, though tweaks will definitely have to come with him like it did for Broly.
